HI i just gave birth 9 weeks ago to identical twin boys i was 5'2 110 lbs i was tiny! i gained 70 lbs with the pregnancy! now my stomach is so discusting as well as my boobs
i am going to get a tummy tuck and breast done. ASAP im only 21 and too young to be scared of what i wear! my husband said that it will go away if i exercise! which is absolulty untrue. the weight will go away not the skin. Is there ANYone that can prove this man wrong? i just dont want to wait a couple years and it not be gone and i have wasted time that i could have been feeling good about myself. does any one still have a saggy wrinkly stomach and its been a couple years and they exercise on a regular basis??? please help

I know how you feel. I am 5'2 and i gained 100 pounds during my pregnancy. I am 23 now but i was 21 when i had them. My stomach is disgusting i have stretch marks all over my body. Sometimes i get so angry because i am so young and i dont deserve this. Some people have kids and they dont have any stretch marks and there bodies dont get ruined like they do if you have twins. I still havent lost all the weight so i dont know if my stomach will go back i highly doubt it will.

Nine weeks is a very short time. Your body will need to adjust a while. Give it some time and ease your way into exercising and eating healthy. Don't obsess over it; your body nurtured two babies and you should be proud of that accomplishment, you are young and it will happen. Skin is very flexible at your age.

I was 23 yrs. old when I had my twin boys. I also gained 70 pounds. my boys were heavy weights!! I've lost all the weight now except 10 pounds. I have a tummy tuck schedualed for September. My stomach did not get better with exercise. I actualy had a personal trainer for 6 months and the loose skin did not go away at all!! My stomach stretched sooooo much that the only thing I can do now is surgery. I feel way to young to have a stomach like I do. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you before and after pictures after I get my surgery.

Well, with my first I was 18 and 110lbs to start with. I gained 65lbs and never had a problem with loose skin after losing my weight. Your skin is pretty elastic and most of the time it will get back into shape along with the rest of you. I'm on my 6th pregnancy and although I'm overweight because I never lost all my weight from my last 3 pregnancies I've never had issues with loose skin. 9 weeks is not enough time to have a clear picture of what your body will be like. It took you 9 months to gain the weight and it will take at least that long to get back into shape.

I was 24 years old when I had my boys and I am 5ft tall. Pre-pregnancy I weighed 105lbs and I am now back to that weight 10 months after they were born. I gained about 50lbs while pregnant and did stretch alot, I have a couple stretch marks just above my belly button, some on my lower tummy, and a couple on my thighs. Every month that goes by I notice my skin is gradually shrinking, I had a big stomach overhang or apron after the boys were born and now it is gone. I dont work out, I never have, it just takes time. When I went to my c-section surgeons office for a follow up, I did ask how long for this 'skin' to shrink back, he told me it could take 1-2 yrs and it is alot easier for younger ladies, because their skin has alot more elasticity. I would definitely try to work out, if you like, but not for a while yet, you will see as the months go on that you will gradually lose the weight and things will start to go back to normal. As the pp said it took 9m to have those babies, it will take at least that to bounce back, especially after having twins. I used to be so disgusted with my body and I am now starting to slowly like myself again, I know that I will never look the way I did before I was pregnant but I would much rather this body and have my 2 babies, to me, that is much more important.

hi girls I have twin girls that are almost three and a one year old boy. I am 6 feet and weigh 180lbs. I should weigh 165, so I am drinking shakes. Go to your healthfood store and buy some shake powder and mix it with non fat or low fat milk, have five a day and then salads and chicken or a little protein you will see the weight litterally drop off your body in just a few weeks. Also you will have what we call TWIN SKIN around your middle for a while because you just had those babies but it does go away but it takes a while for all the water to get out of your body from the carrying of the babies...mine didnt go away for about five to six months but then presto it disappeared. i have had three babies in two years talk about a tummy! but its going away..drink protien shakes!! good luck.

I am 26 and am 5ft 6in. I was a size 2 before. I gained 50lbs with the twins. They are almost 4 months and I am just starting to feel like my body is getting back to normal. I have lost all the weight but am shaped a little different. I notice my belly shrinking alomost weekly,so hang in there. I know I am not as short and probably had more torso room to carry. It will get better. Your boys are adorable.

It takes a lot longer than 9 weeks. Give your body time. I am 5'3 and was 115before getting pregnant.. I gained like 70 lbs with all the water retention. It took me a good year to drop the weight. I still have 5 lbs to go. Although I don't have stretch marks my belly skin is still a little saggy and loose. My dh says same thing as yours. I work out 4 times a week I was going to the gym but now we have bought a very good stationary bike that I am using in the morning along with abdominal excercises and I find its easier and I can spend more time with dh in the evenings. Plus eating good helps too. I find now at 15 months pp I am close to my old self again. Well except for some abdominal wall seperation. I went through a very hard time about my body image and felt horrible about myself especially after trying to find clothing that didn't emphasise my middle. Hang in there and it will get better. It takes a long time for most people. So don't be too hard on yourself and for now don't dwell on your belly and boobs. Just do what you can to make yourself feel and look good and enjoy spending lots of time with those babies while they are so new.

My dr. told me it takes a whole year for your body to recover from a pregnancy. Exactly a year after my boys were born..I was down to pre-preg weight. Of course preg changes your body forever but I work out 3-4 days a week and love my body. The only thing I dont like is that I had to have a c-section and I have a slight bit of loose skin there. Not really noticable to anyone and I can still wear a bikini. I'm also 16 yrs older than you. So give it time.

I am 5'2 and weighed a little under 100lbs when I got pregnant. My girls wer e6 weeks early but good size for twins, 5lbs and 4'8 ounces. I lost the weight quickly, but I still had lose skin. My girls are almost a year old, and though the skin hasn't completely returned to normal, it had improved considerably. I work out on a regular basis and use that cocoa butter cream 2 a day. I was only 20 when I had my girls, so give your body time.

Thank you ladies for some encouraging words! All I've ever heard here was that it was impossible to lose the pooch and that it would never get better. It's great to know that all is not lost.
