Anyone out of it yet? I'm a mess. The babies are a mess. Henry is OK though.
I had one friend who said she was happy about the time change as she needed her kids to get up earlier as they usually get up around 8:00. Good thing she didn't tell me that in person!

I don't get it!!!!!!!!!!
I put them to bed at 7:30pm which would REALLY be 8:30pm and they are getting up at 5:30am instead of their usual 7am!!!!! It just doesn't make any sense! |

I'd be just fine if only they'd let me sleep...... mine are a little thrown off, too. They've been waking up about an hour earlier than their usual time. Hopefully this too shall pass!!!!!

It has really thrown the boys off...we are putting them to bed at the same time and they are trying to get up earlier. They also are not sleeping well at night...up off and on all night Michelle said. Nap is even different...really doesn't make any sence but they are cranky , cranky.

It has been a challenge here as well. Their little bodies are wanting to wake up at the time they are "used to." However, we are keeping them up until normal bedtime, which feels late to them. So right now they are sleeping about an hour less than usual & that is making them cranky.
I taught 4th grade for 4 years & it was always misrable with my students both times during the year we had a time change. They were tired, more irratable, and more likely to act out in negative behavior. It usually took about week for things to get back to "normal." So I am hoping that will be the case with one year olds too. We can make it one week right?!?!! Hang in their girls, Debbi |

I know it is scary to even think about when your kids are getting up at 5:15 and wanting to play (BELIEVE ME, I know!!), but if you put them to bed earlier they will sleep later. It has something to do with being a little too tired when they go to bed later and that somehow disrupts their sleep cycle.
We finally took the advice of the Healthy Sleep book and started putting our crazy early risers to bed earlier, and they started sleeping until 7:00, sometimes even closer to 8:00. (We started pushing bed times the week before the time change to help with the transition. I don't think it made a difference either way.) ALSO, don't forget that our babies are on the cusp of that one nap is not enough, but two just doesn't always happen. Ours go a few days with no morning nap and we think - One Nap! And then just to spite us they start taking two hour morning naps again So hang in there! We're going to make it, really, we will.

I know we will, it's just HARD to remember that isn't it? Mine both have horrible colds and Jess has bleeding diaper rash cos of all the antibiotics so they were up a lot in the night even before the time change. Since the time change they are the same as all of yours - up multiple times and then wide awake at 5am shouting even though they go to bed at 7pm (yesterday they went at 6.30!) And because they get up so early they pass out at 10am for a nap and then wont nap again for the rest of the day. I just want things to get back to normal!

Sunday: 5:05
Monday: 5:15 Tuesday: 5:30 Wednesday: 5:45 While it is getting better with their wake up time, they are MISERABLE by 9:00 am and then all PM! I keep bringing them outside thinking the fresh air will help but they were clinging to my leg saying mamamamama. Ugh! I'm taking them for a long drive this afternoon to get them a little snoozy. Poor Henry is pissed as he says they keep waking him up. I hear him up there screaming stop yelling George. Spring forward is sooo much easier.
