Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get some little hats for my guys. They are guarenteed to be on the small side (I just grow small babies) and the only hats I can find are sized from 0-3 months or 0-6 months and they will swallow them, I know. I can't find any preemie hats either.
I can't stand it when their little hats don't fit. I've got a couple of weeks before they get here, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Leigh Ann

We got cute little hats at the hospital, they came with a poem about cobwebs going away, as babies grow up and won'e wait... It made me cry in the first days of babies. Off topic I realize. You might want to call the hospital and ask if they will be providing each baby with a hat. Otherwise I don't know all of the hats we bought we way too big as well.

Do you know anyone who knits? Or maybe you belong to a church where some of the older women knit and you can ask them to make you a few. I know that around here the churches are ALWAYS having sales, and it never fails that there are 10 or so older women selling thier knit baby items for a few dollers.

I found a small section in the middle of Babies R Us this weekend that has stuff geared toward preemies. They had some ultra-small hats there (and the teeniest socks I've ever seen). I would have missed it - it was only one rack with an endcap.

Our NICU sent each baby home with a knitted blanket and 2 matching hats. There are older ladies that give them to the NICU to give to each family. I thought it was very sweet and are put away in their treasure boxes now!

There is a website that sells preemie and newborn with really cute little hats. I think it's jaquispreemieangels.com or something, If you google "micropreemie clothes" it will come up. I'm pretty sure she sells stuff for kids up to 7 pounds, and her hats were a great price- I think under $5.

I ordered from here: http://www.preemie.com/
My order arrived VERY QUICKLY. I was impressed.
My advice is to refrain from ordering too many small hats. My girls grew out of them so quickly. They grew out of their hats long before they grew out of the preemie sized clothing.

If you have a BabiesR Us - they have preemie sized hats. I also found the gift store at our hospital has an amazing selection of preemie clothes and hats too and suprisingly, their prices were similar if not cheaper than a regular store.

I bought a few preemie hats at my hospital's BFing boutique for $1.95 each.
One of the NICU nurses also gave each of the twins preemie outfits w/matching blankets, booties & hats (!!!!) plus they each received hand-knit blankets & hats and quilts made by an organization called Project Linus (http://www.projectlinus.org/). All the hats are tiny!

When I bought a newborn size sleepers...5lbs, it came with it's own hat, that looks quite tiny. They also had preemie. That was at BabysRUs as well.
Plus when I washed it, it shrunk a little too.
