I had thought about suggesting this earlier buy wasn't sure, until I found it on a website this morning. I think it is at pregnancystore.com. It looks like a pad with disposable covers, it is a flexible gel ice pack. It is recommended for pregnancy pressure pain and for after birth. Hope this helps someone. They had some awesome stuff, some of it pricey, but doesn't hurt to window shop and then devise your own. Happy baby growing, Jodie

That does sound like a good idea :)
I have one for ya too...
I few years ago I had laser surgery on my labia and found that wetting a maxipad with water then freezing it (then I could stick right to my panties) worked great for me.
I don't know if it will help anyone with pre-pregnancy stuff, but it might after :)

Those ice pack pads give me such a nightmare!! The hospital gave them to me after my DD was born. She was nearly 9lbs. and born face up so needless to say I had a complete tear. It was really terrible recovery....anyway I don't want to scare anyone with compete tear talk. The pads do add some comfort. Your hospital may offer them to you after delivery, if not I would ask!

oh, Amanda--I hurt just thinking about your pain!!! I had some tearing and some problems after delivery, but nothing like that!! Whoa.
Thanks for the news on the ice packs though, Jodie! I haven't heard of them and after a vaginal delivery, they sound like they could be very helpful! :)
