Yesterday, while I was at work, Matthew cut (w/ scissors)the cord connecting dd's DESIGNER'S WORLD game to the TV(one of those plug n play games)!!! I was relieved it wasn't an electrical cord. The babysitter (at my house b/c they are sick) called me to tell me what he did and that she put him on time out and scolded him. I need to find out how he got the scissors!! With three kids, his sister may have left the scissors out. Who knows??? I say it was a spiteful bad thing, dh says it is being a boy??? Your thoughts???
My vote is half naughty and half boy :D

Agree with all of the above.
Just being naughty. Girls and boys alike do it. Remind him scissors are dangerous and playing with sister's games are :nono:. Then remind EVERYONE in the house that scissors MUST be put away when not in use.
What's done is done. You likely didn't notice it as much with your dd because she didn't have big brothers or sisters to bug and get into their stuff.

it's hard to say whether he was being spiteful or just curious. It depends on the circumstances surrounding the incident. Was the babysitter actively paying attention to them, or was he bored? Could he have just wanted to see what would happen? If he never cut a cord before, that could well be the case.

I am sure she was sitting on the couch NOT paying attention to them, and she was reading, knitting or watching TV. I would bet on it. I only get her occasionally, b/c the boys do not like her. DD says she is nice to all of them. The boys say she is mean b/c she puts them on time out.
