I am just looking forward to being home for two days. Have you ever had the urge to just stay home and not get dressed for the whole weekend and stay in pjs?
I get that urge but I have to take Aly to the dentist again and hopefully get to do our taxes. Other than that just hanging out.

I look forward to weekends because of no work but sometimes I don't look forward to them because it means juggling chores in between taking care of the kids, kwim?

Otherwise, our plans include heading to Sam's Club bright and early tomorrow morning (8am) to buy dipes/wipes. Maybe going to the mall to return some stuff.

Then, at 3pm after nap, going swimming at the health club until 5pm. Then coming home and prolly ordering pizza. Then watch a movie.

Sunday: nothing, other than my sister and her son might come over after nap to play for a while, and then at 7pm I'm going to the neighbors for a jewelry party.

Dh wants to take the kids to a place like Chuck E Cheez called Slinkys Action Zone, b/c dd got a good report card. I hate that place and I am in a walking cast. There is no way he can do it alone, it is too much! I just like to stay home by the fire, play with the kids, veg out.

We've done the 'stay in the jammies' thing quite a bit this winter since we have had so much snow and cold weather.

Tonight I am taking DD and her Girl Scout troop to see High School Musical on Ice, tomorrow she has horseback riding...other than that, no other plans.

Saturday nights are usually our family nights when we watch a movie or play games and order a pizza...sometimes we make our own pizzas. Sunday is just a day that the family spends together, we try not to make too many plans for Sundays as it's the only day of the week that I don't have to set the alarm clock!

We do this too, except for us it's Friday night.
Tonight we're going OUT for pizza.

Hubby taking DS to Lake Tahoe tomorrow for Snowboarding lessons while DH does some snowboarding of his own. I'm staying home with the 4 little ones. I bought memory earlier this week and have succesfully kept it hidden from the boys, I think I'll break it out. Probably stay in pjs and order pizza.
Sunday, hopefully going to church and getting the kids outside for some play (DH has to clean up after the dogs outside ). That's it.

I'm starting to dread wkends b/c I feel like there's no structure (I'm such a type A person!)....DH just enjoys sitting on the sofa watching tv, while the kids run amuck around him and I try to catch up on chores I didn't get to during the week.

Tomorrow we have a dinner party to attend and then on Sunday my DH's parents are visiting.

On Fridays, we sometimes go out for pizza or we bring a pizza in! I like the idea of pizza/game night..maybe we'll start making this a weekly thing.

Well tonight is our pizza night and DH is still not home with it. He just called me on my cell and told me that he is stuck in traffic! Great! 6:30pm and Aly is looking by the window calling for her pizza...I mean daddy. :snicker:

But this weekend we're (adults only) going back to Milano for 10 days. Actually, Milano, Cinque Terra and Monte Carlo for work.

In the meantime, I'm making and freezing meals, writing out kids' schedules and wondering in where I put my 220V hair dryer, and cleaning the house for the grandparents.

We used to only do it once a month because DH had such a crazy schedule that we couldn't do the same day all the time...but now his schedule is more stable so we picked Saturday because that's the end of his week. We have really enjoyed doing it, I think you will too!

It's nice because all week we are on the run and as much as we try to have dinner every night together and all that, it doesn't always work out that way, so we know that every Saturday, without a doubt, we will sit down together and eat as a family and enjoy each other's company.

Well, we went to Target today and I had the twins pick out underwear. Not quite sure they understood what they picked out, but Sofia picked out Dora () underwear and Ian picked out Cars, of course.

Helene, I think you'll love family night with the games/pizza. My kids are a bit too young yet for actual family games but we do normally reserve Friday nights for being home and Saturday nights are the nights that DH and I will make plans, if we have any. Like for birthdays, we have a group of friends that get together and we all go out for dinner/cocktails for each other's birthdays; we pick Saturday nights for that. Usually on Friday we're just too dang tired to make a late night and Friday seems to be a good night to unwind at home - at least for us.

We went to Pizza Hut last night. The twins though seemed awfully tired, and actually wanted to play independently last night, like they wanted downtime or something. So that's what we did.

I can't wait until they are a bit older to enjoy games like CandyLand, etc and even more advanced games like Monopoly. DH and I used to LOVE that game.
