something silly is bothering me.

Owen has a sore bum. It's probably because we had chili on the weekend, and he's still got some pretty acidic poop.

This morning when I was changing him he said "mommy, why you hurting my ouchie?" and I welled up with tears! It occured to me that it was so much easier changing them when they couldn't actually say the words that I was hurting them.

Does anyone kwim? I feel :loco:

It's bad enough when your kiddos get shots, but when they have to go one at a time, and one twin watches the other get poked, and then *cry*, and the second child screams more from terror than the first did from pain...

Last time the WIC lady poked their finger, I went first, then Logan, and by the time it was Andy's turn he was clinging to DH saying, "NO DADDY NO DADDY I DON'T WANNA OWIE NO DADDY DADDY DADDY DADDY..."

Lil drama queen. :rolleyes: He was fine as soon as she gave them each a Tow Mater sticker.

I know how you feel. Before they could talk real well, and they were naughty, I'd grab their arm (usually to stop some swatting or something). I did that yesterday and Ian said:

"Ow, Mumma, you hurt me."

I felt like shyt.

They just woke up from their nap and they STINK! They're excited because I made them a very elaborate track on their train table while they were sleeping. I'm going to let Owen have a few minutes of happiness before I torture him with another diaper change :(

Maybe I'll let them go bare bummed until bath time :chin:

I bet they'll love eating pancakes that way :lmao:

We just had a talk about him telling me if he poops in the middle of the night. I told him that it will be even worse if he sleeps with poop in his diaper. He asked me to put "cweam" on it :cloud9:

Poor little guy...

I can listen to 'you hurt me' every now as long as I still get the 'love you mama'...worth it to me.

But, it's also nice because they can tell you what is wrong instead of trying to figure it out. About 2 weeks ago the boys were both sick, and the one night Kevin got me up just about every hour on the hour...by 5:30 am I gave up and put Playhouse Disney on and put them both on the couch, by 7:00 am Kevin told me that 'my ear hurt inside'...sure enough we went to the PED and he had an ear infection.

Mine tell me that I'm a mean Mommy. (Usually when they get in trouble for something) However, they always want to either go with me when I go out or stay with me when Daddy wants to take them out. :proud:
