Lately they have been playing mostly with these metal dumptrucks that we got them...they go zooming through the house pushing them, and they usually have something in them like cars or trains, although yesterday they were giving their Leo and Quincy (from Little Einsteins) dolls a ride. Oh, speaking of Little Einsteins, they absolutely love the Pat Pat Rocket that they each got for Christmas. They also love playing with Thomas trains.
My DD is older but she loves horses...eats, sleeps, breathes horses, live or otherwise! She also loves playing Wii (so do I).

My boys are into trains and they are really into coloring and cutting (I bought them some scissors) They love doing anything with letters on it.
Angie, M&N LOVE Super Why too.

 I now love "that blasted Dora" since she gave us the time to put together the big girl beds the other day ;)

Cole is very into independent play and he's a typical boy, loving trains, cars and dirt. He cannot walk by a puddle without stamping his feet into it. His favorite past-time?? Tracking mud into the house and being fascinated by his footprints....my carpets will never be the same!
Bella is a girlie-girl, loves dolls, make-up, nail polish, clothes, shoes (that girl has more purses and Barbie dress-up shoes than I can keep track of). She really loves to be in the kitchen, helping me cook.
Both of them have just now started showing an interest in books so I'm happy about that!

My kids love Super Why also.
Ethan is into cars (disney) and has about 15 of them now. He also likes GI Joes, puzzles, riding bikes (when it is warm), playdoh, watching movies (he is our couch potato).
Hannah likes baby dolls, playdoh, puppies, care bears, playing with baby brother, bugging me.
They received the Smart Cycle for christmas but I haven't brought it out yet. I didn't really want to introduce them to video games this young, but my aunt gave it to them. Plus they don't know recognize numbers/letters yet and I am not sure if they would need to know them to play the games.

We almost got the Smart Cycle- Michael really wanted teh kids to have one, but I figured they would fit over it- so instead we got the VSmile- Mel you'd be surprised how good these preschool video games are for our little ones. They are a lot smarter then I even knew!
Th paddles help them with hand-eye coordination, they have to think about what comes next, they use colors, shapes, counting and letters. There are singing and writing on these games too- I am impressed to say the least. I never thought I would endorse a video game system for preschoolers, but I will admit it really gets them thinking and learning on an independent level ..

Mine love scissors too- but the last time I gave then scissors and went to the bathroom they cut their clothes - so I have to make sure that if I turn my back to even get into the fridge I take them from them :p:

I have made a "no video games" rule at my house. They DO go to websites with little games, like pbskids.org, but that is it.

Thanks, I found the Super Why program...it's on at 9:30 am here on PBS! I'm sure Cole and Bella will like it!
Tracy, when I first joined this board I wasn't very active and that's probably why we haven't run into each other. I mainly stuck with the "The First Years" and "5-12" forums when I was here back then. Since I got pg with Garrett and Landon, I became more active but still stuck to my BM forums and "The First Year" forums. But I'm glad this 3-4 forum was put here....it'll be nice to get to know other moms with kids the same age as Cole and Bella.

My boys are so different:
Matt- 150% BOY, he loves trucks, cars, anything with wheels, he plays on the SmartCycle but gets frustrated and quits when he doesn't understand certain things. He loves to wrestle and play football with dad or his brother but usually gets too rough. He is also really really into GOLF, Santa brought Fisher Price grow to pro golf clubs and he plays with them daily. He loves to watch The Barnyard movie and series, Tom & Jerry and sometime Backyardigans. He used to like High School Musical 2, but he has moved on. When it is warm, he has a John Deere battery operated tractor you cannot keep him off of, he runs it until the battery dies.
Josh - Quite the sensitive thinker, he enjoys playing the V-Smile and the FP Smartcycle, he will play those for a while. He loves playing with he sister, and will do about anything with her, school, house, dolls, color, he really admires her, and always flirts with her friends. He will play with his Grow-to-Pro golf clubs too. He loves to dance and listen to music. He is infatuated with Gabriella from High School Musical, he wants her to be his girlfriend. He likes to wrestle, but is not aggressive. He likes to watch Backyardigans, Tom and Jerry, The Barnyard, High school Musical 2. He also likes his John Deere battery Operated Tractor.
