Bedtime help?

I have twin daughters, 2 years, 9 months. We are having trouble with bedtime. First we don't have any troubles getting them to bed it is the part of staying in bed that we are having trouble with. They share a room and at this point that is our only option. Last night it took 3 hours before they finally feel asleep. They are in each others beds, in the closet, in the rocking chair. I am not sure what to try next. Anyone out there with some good suggestions or going through the same thing?

Sorry I don't have much advice. Mine are about your age but I don't have too many problems. Maybe mine are afraid of the consequences. :)

Do you normally keep their door open at nite or shut it? We usually shut their door. They have a nite lite. They tend to get out more if the door is open.
