I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.......Our boys will be celebrating thier 1st b-day next month. (6/15 - also our anniversary.... We will be also fencing in our back yard and hope to spend many evenings out there with them. We were considering getting one of the smaller sized climbers with the slide and maybe swing. I've seen a few online. I've read reviews on the Naturally Playful Kangaroo climber and it seems that there is a gap behind the platform. I've seen a few others, but wanted some input from those of you who have had experience with these. What do you have and or do you have any other outside play suggestions?

We got THIS (http://www.amazon.com/Little-Tikes-Climb-Slide-Castle/dp/B0000E6ZCI/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-5283376-4711361?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1179159086&sr=8-1) slide when the boys were 15 months and used it inside all winter. It was really great for them to practice their climbing and sliding skills before we headed out to the playgrounds this spring.
We also have THIS (http://www.amazon.com/Naturally-Playful-Water-Activity-Center/dp/B0000WXGL8/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-5283376-4711361?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1179159154&sr=1-1)sand and water table that we started using without sand or water around 15 months. I am sure they could have started using it earlier; that's just when we happened to get it. Now that it is nicer out, we put the sand and water in it and they absolutely LOVE it! I also have a friend with the same table, but she keeps it inside with rice in it instead of sand and water. It's nice for indoor play, too.
If you have some trees in your yard, you could always get swings to hang. Something like THIS (http://www.amazon.com/Step-2-Caterpillar-Swing-Two/dp/B00005RV4B) maybe?
Have fun! :sunshine:

We have a similer slide. I like it because it's only 3 steps up and not along way to fall...
We have a regular swing set out back and the girls do really well. We have 2 infant swings that are low enough they can climb in them theirselves.
Mostly mine like to play in our giant sandbox. My dh built all 4 girls a 10x10 sandbox last spring.
