I am wondering how other moms got around with their twins. Do you use the double stroller, lug them around in their seats, or put one in a sling or carrier?

I use my stroller. Right now I'm using my Graco Duo-Glider. It's convenient not having to pull sleeping babes out of their car seats. I couldn't imagine carrying both carriers around. I would need more muscle than I have - which isn't much :) When I go grocery shopping, I usually keep them in the stroller, push the stroller w/ one hand and pull the cart behind me. I have carried my dd (she's ligher) in a Bjorn and put my ds's carrier in the cart. You'll find a routine that works best for you. The pushing the stroller and pulling a cart is doing a number on my wrists. I don't know how much longer I'll be doing that. Good luck! It's such a great adventure!!!

I also use the stroller if and when it is possible. We have a Graco DuoRider. It's a side-by-side, but I've found that it fits any place that is handicap accessible, which is most. I generally don't take the girls shopping on my own, unless it's just a quick trip for a few items. Then I push the stroller and carry a basket. I generally use grocery shopping as a way to "get away" and take a break.

I used the Duo Glider for the most part when they were babies. Like a pp said, it's so easy to take the carriers out and just snap them onto the stroller. I only had to go to the store w/them a couple times when they were in their carriers, but when I did; one was in the carrier in the cart, the other was in a Snugli holder.
The stroller is the way to go. It has only been recently that I have stopped using it for parks, storytimes, grocery store, etc. (They are 26 months)
I would highly recommend a stroller that the car seats can snap into. I don't have one and desperately need(ed) one.
I've lugged car seats. This is *hard*. They finally sit up well enough to put into the double stroller.
I've tried to take one in a sling and one in the carseat. This doesn't work so great. If they aren't happy where they are it is very hard to switch them around like that. I have to make one of my older kids sit in the floor to hold one baby while I move them around. It does work if they are both happy where they are at. I thought I would use the sling a lot more but it hasn't worked out that way.

I too am using the graco duoglider with the car seats. It works great for us and the girls just sleep away.

You all are making me feel good about purchasing a duoglider now. :) I have heard some negative things about how big and bulky it is, but with two kids what isn't? lol I have the carseats that snap in, and I think it will be a sanity saver. Now, I wonder what to do with my 2 year old...

Now, I wonder what to do with my 2 year old...
If I dared go anywhere by myself with my 4 kids, I would put one baby in the Snugli front carrier, one in her car seat in the Duo Glider stroller, and snap my 18 month old DD in the stroller, then I'd have my 2 1/2 year old DS stand on the basket of the stroller. Once we got inside the store he would walk beside me. That only worked for quick trips inside to grab what I need and run. Otherwise I'd never go anywhere by myself. Now the twins are almost 18 months and hate riding in the stroller as walking is so much more fun to them. And the older 2 want to ride in the stroller. Strange how that works.

I cannot recommend this stroller enough.
When my twins were newborn, I wanted the kind of stroller that I could snap their carriers onto. I procrastinated in buying one, and by the time the twins were 9 month old, they were too big to use the carrier seats anymore. (I feel sad now, thinking about that.) But I'm glad I didn't waste the money on one.
We got a lot of use from our side-by-side DuoRider, and I still use it for some outings (like the pool). We used it every day, for anywhere we went for the first 27 months.

Definitely by stroller - my back hurt too much to pick up the infant carriers empty much less lug them around with babies in them.
I stopped taking the carriers out of the car at 5 months and they transitioned to convertable car seats at 6 months - so for me I wish I had gotten the snap-n-go and then upgraded to my double jogger with swivel wheel that I have now and LOVE LOVE LOVE.
My kids do not fight going into their car seats and they never stayed asleep in the infant carriers anyway so they were not a "sleep prolonger" for us.

I will be having twins when my daughter will just be turning 18 months old...She has been walking since she was 9 months old, but I am thinking of getting the triple stroller to get around, but dread the idea.
What other options are out there???
I appreciate any information-thanks.
