I wonder how big they were? last week I read a Yahoo news article quoted her from the hospital saying they were over six pounds from the ultrasounds. That would be great if they were that big so early. I hope they are all doing well.

How neat... she had them on my son's 10th birthday! He was overdue, however, and was 10 days late.

I wonder if she'll change many diapers?

I'm sure she'll be having a nurse around the clock and NOT changing many diapers! I really don't think that her babies were 6 lbs a piece, I really think that her reps are claiming that so people won't be alarmed by low birth weights. When she was on Oprah and she was 7 months she looked VERY small. I just hate it how when she was on Oprah she said that having twins was what a typical overachiever does. Sorry this bothers me!

Jennifer,
I couldn't agree with you more. I was just thinking of that Oprah show with Julia on it this morning. That overachiever thing bothered me too. When I found out I was pregnant with twins I felt as if God had "chosen" me to be the receiver of such an awesome gift. I felt somehow as if I didn't deserve it. I absolutely didn't feel like I had anything to do with it. To say that I got pregnant with twins because I'm such an overachiever, seems like such a conceited statement to me.
I have nothing personal against Julia. That statement however, made me less of a fan.

my mom and I were talking about Julia's babies today (like we know her or something :) )
We both agreed that she very well could have told the media that she was due in January to keep the paparazzi (is that how it's spelled??) off her tail. I think this is what Deborah Messing did. This would explain 6 lb babies that are 6 weeks early!!!

They stated that Julia and the babies should be going home together - how many of you that had 6wk premies got to go home with your babies??

Also, she never fully explained whether she conceived naturally or through IVF - if it was IVF, then the over-achiever comment wouldn't bother me so much, if it was natural - that's just wrong (but she is just poking fun at herself).

My ID girls were 6wks early and were 5lb 5oz and 5lb 2oz. So it could be possible that they were 6lbs. Of course my girls stayed in the NICU for 1 week. So going home together doesn't possible, unless because of their weights.

She had them by c-section and they were just over 5 lbs

The report on the Insider that I heard said that she was at 34 weeks and they were 5 pounds.

I watched that whole Oprah episode and didn't take
the "overachiever comment" serious. She even laughed
as she made the comment. I think she comes across
very down to earth and wish nothing but the best
for her and her lil angels. :)
