I know I've seen a crib separater somewhere...where can I get one - or does anyone have other creative ideas about separating babies in one crib. We're not ready for two cribs yet.

I'm just curious why you think you need a crib divider? My girls are almost 16 months old and they are still sleeping together and it's going great. They each take their side of the crib and that's where they sleep. I think they like sleeping together too, they love to play in their crib before falling asleep. Once they start hurting eachother or they simply can't fit, then I'll move them to toddler beds. Well, that's the plan right now.

We have used a crib divider since they've been in their crib. It has worked great! I've heard that others have done without...just having their babies together in one crib...but that wasn't working with our girls. I'm trying to remember why...but I'm drawing a blank! Obviously they weren't rolling around yet...hmmm. They were several months old, so I think it just seemed like they would wake up, then not fall back to sleep, because they could see their sister. Maybe????

Anyway...we've really liked having it. Now that they are turning over, it's nice to know they won't be squishing each other or rolling onto each other. Obviously it works to not have one for some...but this was better for us. They're able to roll over now and peek over the top...it's really cute!

I purchased mine online at www.onestepahead.com. I think it was about $20.

we started using a crib divider with our girls as soon as they began scooting and turning around in the crib (at around 2 months i think). riley would always end up hogging the bed and squish kayla into a corner or her feet would be in kayla's face and she would kick her, plus they both have very grabby hands... they are now a little over 5 months old and we just did our transition for my older son into his new big boy bed (last night!) so soon my girls will be in their own cribs. we have the same one as BryKynz and it has been great. it does take up a lot of room in the crib so at 5 months they have outgrown their little sections.

I had to put my sons in seperate cribs when they were 3 months old. This was b/c of reflux, they needed to to each have a crib wedge. I put one on each end, and they'd just find their way to the middle, bumping into each other. My sons move around in their cribs so much, I couldn't imagine them sleeping together. I would imagine that you could just roll up towels (or blankets), to make your own sleeping divider.
