Hello,
Just thought I would Post and say Hi!
My Hubby and I found out yesterday that the little one in my stomache is actually 2 little ones... talk about a HUGE shock!!
Were thrilled, but thinking of all the thngs we'll need in 2's now. I read a lot of your comments about the sleeping arrangments for the babies, got lots of great ideas, Thanks!
I was wondering if any of you are expecting identical twins? Right now, as of my first US they suspect the babies are in the same sac. I got in a week or so to get another to see if it was accurate.
And I must say, if it weren't for having faith in God, i'd be pretty scared about all of the "possible complications".
Praise God that He's the one knitting my babies together and He's in control right?!
I was also wondering What kind of strollers you gals have found that are for twins? it seems almost all the ones I have found so far are only made to hold one carseat... Anyone found one that holds 2 carseats and dosn't cost arms and legs galore?
I looked at a Graco duoglider tandem... does anyone have it?
Thanks so much for any advice you might have...

Congratulations! Yes, God had blessed you for sure!
We have the gracoduoglider - both infant carriers/car seats snap onto it. It is a little heavy but we still use it and our twins are almost 3.
Best of luck for a continuing healthy pregnancy! Keep us posted.

Congratulations on your twin pregnancy!! You have come to a wonderful website and will get tons of info from here. You also have a great attitude, yeah there are things that could go wrong, but then again there are alot of things they could go right. God is in control. So focus on taking care of yourself and those two inside of you!!!!!

Thank you all for replying,
I love getting to meet other women that have been in my shoes.
And I'm really glad to hear that two of you have had the graco duoglider and like it. My hubby and I went to babys 'r us and looked at them there and I agree that it is kinda heavy for being just the stroller, but I suppose i'll just have to get used to handling stuff like that, one baby can get heavy quick, I can only imagine how 2 will be.
However in our looking today It seems that for the duoglider and the 2 carseats to put in it, it's going to run around $300.
And I was wondering if you ladies might suggest getting it online, or another store that might carry it cheaper.
Thanks!

Congratulations. How far along are you? Are these your first?
We have heard that the duolider is really heavy and doesn't hold up well..but it sounds like everyone here really likes it. WE were thinking about going with the baby trend caravan Lite lx. It's about 250 without carseats...but holds two carseats and both seats fully recline.

Congrats on your twin pregnancy! It is an amazing journey, but well worth it.
I have the Graco Duo Glider. It was given to us from my sil and we were lucky enough to have bought Graco car seats. It has been wonderful to be able to just pull the car seats out and sit them in the stroller. It is a bit heavy and it was a little awkward getting it in and out of my vehicle the first few times but you get the hang of it. I plan to get a side by side when my girls grow out of their car seats cause it will be much lighter and easier to run errands with. We will keep our Graco Duo Glider though!
Congrats again!

I still get that WOW feeling when I think about it. After the u/s I cried all day long I was so so so happy!!! My husband and I went our to lunch and called everyone we knew! Congrats on your twins. I was shocked when I first found out, but very excited also.I am due March 22(40 weeks) with boy/girl twins. I have two older kids and never thought I would have twins. I also plan on getting the douglider. I found it at Target for cheaper even thought you have to buy both carseats seperatly. It is only in the store. It was about $50 cheaper that babies are us. I tried to find it online, but it is only in the store. I hope this helps.

Congratulations on the wonderful news that your are expecting twins! As far as the stroller question goes I LOVE my snap N go double for the carseats. It is basically just a frame that the carseats snap into so it is really convenient & lightweight.
Good Luck!

I also have the duo glider and love it because the carseats fit right on to it--but heres what I did..I got my stroller on clearance for about 80 dollars..and bought the graco car seats at k-mart for 39 dollars each on sale..so you have plenty of time to shop around..you dont have to buy all the pieces at the same time or same store..My car sets were actually on layaway. So will some bargain shopping you can get the whole thing for under 200.00 just look for sales..just make sure the graco car seate you get have the stay in car bases- one of the parts that attaches them to the bases is what attaches them to they trays of the stroller.

blessed_times_2,
Congratulations on your twins! I'm 14.5 weeks along, and we're really excited, too. I'm not sure which stroller we'll get, either.
Let us know the results of the ultrasound! I find out in 3 weeks if I'm having boys or girls or one of each. We would love any combination! We're pretty sure that ours are fraternal.
It's wonderful to know that we trust in the almighty God that knows exactly what He's doing, isn't it? I know that He will provide for all of our needs, and strengthen us for every challenge. We are certainly blessed!! Are these your first children? They are ours!
Talk to you later!

Thank you all for you input.
Sorry it's been so long since I've replied, but I am now 12 weeks 3days. And as of right now the Doctor thinks they are Monoamniotic (in the same sac).
We have heard about all of the risks, but Praise GOd he's making them and He will keep them safe and healthy.
But right now were trying to figure out sleeping arrangments for when their born... I've heard a lot of people saying they have their babies sleeping together in the same bed for a while... but is it at all possible to have to infants sleep something like a regular twin size mattress and have some kind of railing around it... or something?
I'm just trying to save myself from having to buy all of these different beds times 2!
Any advice??

Andrea -
You might want to buy cribs that turn into toddler beds. Those will last you a long time. We didn't do that, but if I had to do it over again, that's what I would do.
Regarding the sleeping arrangements. We started out with Avery and Addy sleeping together from day 1 and they are now 11 months and still sleep together. We know this may end very soon ( no bruises yet though), but they do quite well with eachother.
I have not heard of a twin bed though for infants.
