Hi ladies!
How are you all feeling today? Here in So Cal it is crisp and pretty (and this cooler weather has been so much better for the fires). My son went off to school as Dumbledore from Harry Potter with his robe flapping in the wind! Any fun plans for Halloween tonight?
I hit my 22 mark yesterday. And my DH felt the baby kick for the first time! It was funny, he had his head on my belly and he was talking to the "kids". Well, Lily (Baby B) just went off and kicked him in the cheek! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time...
Hope everyone has a safe night tonight,
Jennifer

I'm doing well. I'm about 19 weeks now. I haven't really felt them yet, or I just don't know what to look for. Every once in a while I'll feel something, but I think it's just my stomach grumbling. Nothing definitive yet. But, I can't wait until it happens! My hubby is going away for 2 weeks for work. Very bummed. He'll probably notice a big change in my tummy size when he gets back. Hopefully, we can feel them by them.
Cheers,
Joann

I feel mine in the mornings a lot before I get out of bed. I feel baby A more because he/she is feet down but B is up-side-down so I feel he/she every once in a while but more pushing I think with the feet. I know my uterus is growing but I often get a feeling like when you foot or hand fall "asleep" between my breasts. Maybe everything pushing upwards. I am at 21 weeks but feel further some days and man my back hurts. Up here in Canada the weather has been nice for outdoor activities which is very unseasonal. It is nice to get out with my son and play as I know before long, I will find it hard to. Anyone here know anyone who wasn't put on bed rest with twins?

Hi! I am new to this board. I just found out I'm expecting twins in March. We were at our routine 20 week u/s and the tech got a puzzled look on her face. She was rifling in my chart and finally blurted out "The doctor did tell you you're having twins, RIGHT??" I nearly fell off the table! We are slowly adjusting but still really feel dazed!
Now I am just filled with questions!!! I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi all!
Great to hear everyone is doing well. Let's keep it up.
21 weeks tomorrow, yeah! I feel good, in fact have been more active because of it. I'm still careful and listen to my body-rest when I need it, but have more energy. I am definitely noticing the growth like others. My DH asked if I was having back pain last night and I said "a little, why?" He said I have a noticable "sway back" now- He loves my big belly, fortunately because I'm afraid it's here for awhile.
We took our son to the park yesterday and watched him play and feed the ducks-it was so nice to get out a little.
I see my Dr. tomorrow, hopefully all will be good with the cervix-still frequent BH contractions, but haven't taken terbutaline in a while.
Anyone find a better remedy for constipation besides colace? I'm trying to drink a lot of fluids, fiber, etc...., but this is a big problem for me...

22 wks yesterday and I have been asked twice now if I am about to deliver.
Strangers who don't know I am pregnant with twins see me and are sure that I am VERY close to my due date. I am getting big. I can't imagine how big I will be by the end of this.
I am almost as big as I was with my first two children (singletons) at the end of those pregnancies.

I'm new here too. We just found out last week at our first ultrasound. It's hard to believe you can go 22 weeks without knowing. I thought maybe the dr. had an idea but was holding out for the ultrasound but he said he didn't. WE're still in shock and everytime I tell someone I have to sit down. These will be our first so we are a bit in the dark about what we're really in for. I'm just so worried now that they'll be okay. No signs that they won't but unfortunately I'm a worrier. So far my pg has been easy, no morning sickness or other undesirable symptons. I'm so happy to have found this board. I can't wait to hear everyone's stories and I wish everyone a healthy next several months.

Hi March Mommies!
Addie - Welcome to our little group! And congratulations on your b/g twins! I, too, just found out we were having b/g twins. Our due date is 3/4. We've known we were having twins since my sixth week though so the shock is finally settling in.
Sara - I'm right with you when it comes to people asking if I'm about to deliver! I feel so huge and I cannot even imagine how big I will be getting. God willing, we will all go full term. There was this web site a friend told me about where "moms-to-be" posted what they looked like with twins at different stages of their pregnancies. When I saw what these women look like at 34 to 38 weeks I literally almost had a panic attack! My heart raced and I felt like I was going to be sick! (lol)
I'll be 23 weeks on Thursday and I am feeling these two bumping around together now. At first I would only feel one or the other. It is so reassuring to feel them, isn't it?
Hope all is well with everyone,
Jennifer :p

Does anyone have a good remedy for tingling hands/carpel tunnel syndrome? My right hand just feels numb all the time and really tingles in the morning. I work on a computer most of the day with a wrist brace. It's driving me crazy!

thelocs - I too work behind a computer I am blessed to work from home in a home office) and what I do is stand up every 30 min to stretch my back, legs and hands. I also do prenatal yoga 3 x a week and it REALLY helps. I think that's one of the reasons why I am not aching that much yet.
doublehugs - My husband felt the babies move for the first time the other day (I am 22 weeks) We also saw them move from the outside. When he saw that he LEPT off the couch. I just started cracking up so hard. It's great to see him be able to share in those experiences w/ me...
One questions for you guys... I keep getting this pain in my upper right hand part of my tummy and it goes around to my back. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi to all!
Had a Dr.'s appt. on Monday and found my cervix was funneling on ultrasound. My cerclage is holding (thank goodness), but it's back to strict bedrest for me. I knew a few weeks of reprieve was too good to be true, but I enjoyed it anyway. We had to make more adjustments in our childcare for our 20 month old and I feel so bad not being able to care for him like I want to, but I know it's temporary. My mom is coming down tomorrow to help out, too. I'm beginning to feel like it's taking a village to help me get through this pregnancy! I'm 21 weeks now- really won't feel ok until I get to 30.
I'm also contracting more and finding myself taking terbutaline more frequently....let's hope they slow down.
good news is I feel the babies move a lot-reassuring to me. My DH felt them move for the first time this week-he was excited.
JessicaNJ-
I think you should talk to your Dr. about the abd pain-could be many things,...abd. pain can be caused by a variety of things, so it's best for you to just ask.

Cheri: I'm so sorry you are back on bedrest! I will keep you in my prayers that everything goes smoothly. Wow, a 20-month old! And here I am running around with a 10-year-old!
My son went off to school today on his bike for the first time. I felt like I was "loosening the apron strings" and I felt myself welling up with tears! He said he wants to be "mature" for when the babies come. Doesn't he know he's my baby? (lol)
It is so neat that we are all feeling the babies and our hubbies are now, too. When I lay back in a recliner I can see Baby B (the girl) doing little bumps.
Hope you are all having a good day,
Jennifer ;)

Hi all you March mummies.
Haven't written to you for a few days so thought I'd say Hello.
Sorry to hear you are on bed rest again Cheri, you sound very positive though so that's great. I bet your man just loves to spoil you. Well I am fine over here in sunny old Darwin, even though very hot, thank God we have a pool, half the time I feel as if I'm melting. Now 21 weeks only 17 more to go, Hells Bells! I dread to think what my stomach is going to look like at the end of this, it measures 102cm round already, that's over 1 metre. People keep asking when the baby is due thinking that it must be imminent, I have a wee chuckle to myself when I tell them March and don't tell them it's twins. Sara our babies are in the same position at least they were at last scan. Have asked my Dr for another scan which he'll do at 24 weeks just to make sure they are still growing ok. Have you thought of any names yet for your wee girls? It will be interesting to see if yours are identical or not, I guess you will just have to wait and see.
Anyway will say bye for now. Keep well and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi March Mommies!
I haven't checked in in a while! How is everyone feeling? I was down with the flu for the past few days, which was not fun at all! My mom came over to take care of me (bless her heart)!
Anyone have their showers planned yet? My sister-in-law is having mine on Dec. 13th and I'm getting really excited. Actually, now that I hit my 24-week mark I am feeling more elated! DH made one of the cribs today to put in our bedroom so it is really becoming real!
Hope all is well ~

I am due March 22 (40 weeks) with boy/girl twins. I am currently 22 weeks and doing great. I had a u/s and Dr. appt last week. As of right now each baby weights 1lb 1oz and they look great. I was so neat to be able to see them. They were even touching each other. I am getting bigger by the day and can't belive how much my belly has expanded. I am measuring 30cm at this point. I didn't gain any weight this month, but I am getting over having broncitis, I wasn't eating a whole lot then. At least I am feeling better now.I am feeling the babies move all the time, espically at night. I hope everyone else is doing well and I look foward to getting to know all of you.

Jennifer,
Sorry you had the flu-It's that season. I had a cold and am just now getting over it, but hey I had to stay home and in bed anyway. I love the cool, rainy weather right now, makes me feel like being at home and helps with being on bedrest.
As for a shower-no plans yet. I have a lot of friends out of town, so last time we had the shower after I delivered since I was also restricted from travel. I'm just taking it one week at a time trying to get to 30 weeks. I think after that I'll feel better and be able to focus on getting everything together. With our son all my complications and hospitalization was so sudden and unexpected that we had nothing prepared at home for him. My family volunteered to help set up his room, but I wanted to do it and help pick things out, so in the end my DH bought the bare necessities (he did a great job, too-I was impressed) and then after recovery we set everything up together.
I hope everyone is doing well. Feeling uncomfortable yet with sleeping/heartburn? My belly is definitely sizeable now, but I'm still sleeping ok and my heartburn seems to have subsized for the time being.
My mom is still here helping us with our son and what a big help she is!
Hope everyone gets a chance to check in and send an update here:)

Hi there,
I'm doing well. Just started a gentle water aerobics class today. It was really good. So nice to be in the water. My husband just got back from a business trip and said I was much bigger! I'm 21 weeks today.
I'm having 2 baby showers in December and am really looking forward to them. It was fun and overwhelming doing our registry. They're both far away, so I have a lot of traveling ahead of me, plus the holidays. Not really looking forward to that.
I've gotten carpel tunnel, which is my biggest complaint. Can't really feel my middle finger on my right hand. Bummer.
Cheers,

Hi everyone, I am pretty new posting here. I found at my 12 week visit that I had twins in there. I was shocked, happy, so happy in fact I started crying.
I am approx 21 weeks and due at the end of march, 40 weeks puts me with a due date of March 30th.
So far this pregnancy has been a lot different than my previous pregnancy with my son. At 21 weeks I feel like I am pushing 30 weeks and have normal moans and groans that can be expected with a twin pregnancy.
I do have a question though, sometimes I get tightening in my lower abdomen and inside it feels weird almost like a pulling and twisting around. Is this a bh or one of the babies swimming in there... :)? At first I figured it was one of the babies, but now after reading about braxton hicks and all of the preterm labor stuff with twins, I am getting a little worried. When do I start to worry? I have an ob appt on Friday so hopefully I will be okay til then and maybe we will even find out the genders....if the babies cooperate. I can't wait to see them again.
Also, when do you think I should stop travelling for work? I don't take trips that often, but do have one this wednesday and on December 2nd. So a trip at 21 weeks and 24 weeks I guestimate...I should be okay I guess, I have not shown signs so far of preterm labor, but I wouldnt know really since it has been a month since I've seen my OB. Is it normal to go a month between visits with twins?
I am full of questions...sorry about my rambling. I am just curious and full of rambling about the little joys we are expecting.
Thanks!
Hanna

Hi Hanna,
Welcome to the March Mummies. I too sometimes get very sore pains in my lower abdomen but at the sides. I reckon its my ligaments stretching. They are very painful and I cannot move when they happen. As for travelling if everything is ok you should be fine but ask your Dr what they think.
Good Luck

Hey fellow March Mommies,
It is good to hear that everyone is doing so well. Welcome ELA. We have the same due date. thelocs, I too am taking a water arobics class for pregnant women. I have a hard time making myself go because it is late in the evening and I am usually exhausted by then but I am always glad once I get there. The water feels so good. It is nice to live without gravity pulling on my huge tummy.
I had my last check up yesterday. Everything looks good. I have gained 25 pounds and I measure 34 cm even though I am only about 24 weeks. I am measuring 10 weeks ahead of where I did with my single children!
I can't go anywhere without people saying things like "not much longer"
hannainnc, I am also getting that tight, pulling sensation on my sides and under my tummy. I think it is bh. I usually feel while I am grocery shopping etc. You would think that after being pregnant twice in the last threee years previous to this pregnancy I would know what was going on but this pregnancy is so different.

Hi March Mommies!
Good to see so many new people checking in! I'm going to have to check in more often myself.
I'm 25 weeks today and I was so tired. I took a 2 1/2 hour nap and still felt groggy! It sounds like a lot of us are going through the same things...
Joann, I'm suffering from carpal horribly! I had it before I was pregnant, but now my wrists and hands are so swollen! Have you found anything to alleviate the pain besides wearing braces to bed? I don't want to pop the Tylenol too much.
Addie, I also have found the past week or two that the babies aren't moving around as much as before. I feel them, but not as sharply as previously felt. They are probably getting pretty squished in there!
Hanna, I have awful tight pains on the sides of my stomach, mid-way from the underarms to the waist. This has to be just growing pains, right? I've also had Braxton Hicks, which my doctor said is normal.
Also, someone asked if it was normal to see the doc once a month with twins? That is the schedule I am on now. In February, my appointments will be bi-monthly.
Hope everyone has a great day! Weekend is almost here...I'm expecting my in-laws and have been trying to clean a little all week. It never was this hard before! (lol)
Hugs,
Jennifer :D

Sounds like lots of aches and pains are here already and my guess is more to come.... Hope everyone is doing ok. I don't have Carpal tunnel with my pregnancy, but I've had a bit in the past related to computer use and boy is it painful! I definitely feel for you.
I'm 23 weeks 3 days today and saw my peri for an u/s. Girls are growing well and weigh 1lb 5 oz/1lb 7oz. Measurements are all good. Bad news is that I'm having more cervical funneling which means I absolutely must remain in bed and have to take more terbutaline to stop/decrease the contractions I'm having. Pretty bummed about the news today primarily because it will mean my DH and my mom and friends will have to help so much more. My 20 month old is such a busy boy- We're going to work out a schedule so that I can be 100% compliant.
Other than the above I physically feel pretty good-
I'm getting ready for bed, so good night to all!

double hugs, thanks so much. it's reassuring to know that you are feeling (not feeling) the same things. I do feel them slightly but I must be really still. it's funny most people say they feel them most after eating, but I feel them most early in the morning, like they're hungry. I just can't wait until my husband can feel them. Well have a great weekend, get some rest, and eat a ton! addie

It's about walking and talking!!!! Where are our babies :(
