My darling little girl (aka, Cinderella - sometimes Snow White) is pregnant. She has announced to the entire world, through our local grocery store, that she is carrying 2 babies in her tummy. More specifically, 2 GIRL babies, in her tummy.

In our neighborhood, women are coming out of the woodworks with pregnancies: getting pregnant, are pregnant, want to be pregnant, or just delivered a baby. And, Annika just doesn't understand where the "other" baby is. She has asked me many, many times, "but where's the other one?" She doesn't quite understand that not all babies come in two's.

The Big Bad Wolf has moved up in the world. He is now, sometimes, being referred to as "the handsome pwince." Cinderella will sit on the stairs and pretend to cry and will call out "handsome pwince, ohhhhh handsome pwince....I need you!" And he comes running "heaw I come Sissy" only to be scolded "No! I'm Cinderella!" So he will start over and and come running and say "heaw I come Cinduwella." He is so sweet.

You make me sooooo look forward to my B/G twins growing up together! They're only 6 months old now, but they are already starting to "console" eachother when one cries, play with eachother's feet/hands/ears/hair...etc. Did you read the article about B/G twins in the last Twins magazine? Do you think they're really more aware of the needs of the opposite sex? I hope so!

Jane - the "wedding" was definitely a gala occassion. Especially his "suitcase" with the cans of tuna in it.

Pumpkinmomma - you're going to have so much fun. I totally agree with the article in the Twins magazine. I loved that article! But, I do believe they will have an inside glimpse of the opposite sex.

It's so fun sharing these funny stories with everyone.

My three and a half year old daughter says that she is going to have twin baby girls and their names are going to be Tamara abd Nikita ( her twin sistors names) she already has two small dolls that look alike and they are called by these names.

Kids have the most wonderful imaginations. My three play the 3 little pigs (although in their story there is one big bossy pig and two little pigs that do every thing the other one says!)

We also have an alternate version of cinderella, where we have cinderella and her two beauitful real sistors, that are nice and kind!

It is sooo true! It's incredible the imaginations children do have... It is so neat to see them taking a basic story line and altering it to their own versions....especially when their version is taking their real life situations into consideration in a positive way!

Pumpkinmomma,
My b/g twins are 6 1/2 months old and I have to totally agree with you in how cute they are when they interact!!!! They "talk" to one another and make each other laugh. I love when my daughter reaches over and puts her hand on her brother's face, or when my son reaches over and holds his sister's hand.
When one cries the other has this look on their face as if they are trying to figure out why the other is crying. Then they look at me or my husband as if to say "do something to make them happy".
I look forward to seeing their bond grow as they do!!!

Wow! Kids have such imaginations. It has been so fun watching them. And, at every stage there's something new, different, and amazing to watch. One of the really neat things I've enjoyed is watching that bond you have all talked about. The bond is overwhelming at times (for them and for me!) but it seems like it just can't be broken.
I am waiting for the birth of the girls as well. I think it's going to be a while though. Now, not only are their 2 babies, but she also has the babies' bottles and all their toys in her tummy too!
As the kids have gotten older, when one of them cries the other will try and console the crying one. Try to put an arm around him or her. Tell the other "it's otay - I'm right here" Most of the time, the other likes to be consoled, sometimes though, the ATTITUDE pops up and they just can not be (or don't want to be) consoled. Then, depending on who it is, I get the "what you do to sissy?" Or, "what you do to my brother?"

I'll keep you posted - as the story of Cinderella and The Big Bad Wolf (or handsome pwince) unfolds.

This is soooo cute.........what imaginations!! My 4 year old son just asked me today why he can't have a baby in his tummy when he grows up! He is so sad that he can't have a baby!! And of course, when he does have his own "son" with his wife, he plans on still living with Mommy and Daddy and brother Noah. Imagine that!!
