On Friday I went into the hospital to get an NST...I was contracting and my bp was elevated so they admitted me for rule out labor ( I was 38wks.) My cervix was 2-3 centmeters...after 12hrs on a monitor, with no food and contracting every 5-9minutes. The doctor couldn't decide if I were in "latent" labor or no labor at all and said he wanted to keep me overnight for observation. I refused to stay and signed out...I knew I wasn't in labor because I had NO CERVICAL CHANGE IN 12HRS! Needless to say I was very upset and emotional I asked for an induction...to rupture my membranes and get things started...he refused. Anyway....I left and went home...ate...slept...I was awakened the next morning with contractions coming every five minutes...and very painful. I didn't want to go to the hospital too soon so I let them continue for about an hour. When we got to the hospital they agreed that I was in labor and my doc aggreed to rupture my membranes...but when he went to do so he realized that I was already ruptured (I think I ruptured in the bath tub that morning) So he allowed me to have an epidural. Once the epidural was in place I started to have a lot of back and abdominal pain...the nurse checked me and said that the babies head was right at my introitus and asked me to please not push. Now this means I went from3-4 to complete in less then 20min. They rushed me to the OR my doctor came in and after 3pushes Niela was born weighing 5pounds even...crying. With my next contraction they asked me to push again and out came Lailah 5pounds 8ozs...screaming and pushing the docs away. My babies were healthy and stayed with me in our room for 48hrs...and then we were all discharged to home...we are all doing well. I realize how blessed and lucky I am...I have perfect lil girls!!!

Today was my first day home alone with my lil ones. My husband returned to work today. I'm just working out a schedule on feedings and naps and controlling my two year old. I have been having the most excrutiating neck pain since my delivery...I wonder if it was the pushing or the epidural? Anyone heard of this?

How wonderful everyone is healthy and sounds like things are going great...I can't help you with the neck pain but you may have strained a muscle pushing? Maybe a heating pad will help?
