I miss:
Sleeping on my belly
My size 10 jeans
Marathon shopping
My sex life
Painting my own toenails
Jogging
Drinking coffee, wine and beer
Endless energy
My non-pregnant wardrobe
Staying out late
I've sacrificed all these things for my two sweet babies and I don't regret it!! What do you miss about pre-pregnant life?

Oh my God, where to start?

*being able to take care of my other children efficiently
*yes yes yes, SEX!
*running 5-6 miles day and entering fun runs
*doing things with my friends that are now too tiring
*having family time in the evening (dh is finishing basement to make more room, so he does that when he comes home)
*sleeping through the night
* sleeping comfortably
*sleeping at all!
* a clean house
* going for bike rides with my kids and dh (they took bikes down to Lake Michigan lakeshore without me last weekend)
*hands that don't hurt when I open lids
*size 4 pre-pregnant clothes
*traveling
*vacation that we were supposed to take for 9 days in Oct (I'm already 34 weeks, so bump that idea)
*being able to bend over without doing a major squat to pick something up off the floor!

Hopefully, this will all change by next year.....any mommies of twins with 3 other children who can give me hope that life will normal again someday???
It will be fun to see what everyone else misses!

I miss
Sleeping period
Energy
A clean house
Shopping
Being comfortable
Size 8 pre- pregnancy clothes
Any clothes that fit for that matter
Taking my other children to the park or any where fun
(They now think a trip out is going to the store for food lol)
Soaking in the tub instead of standing in the shower
A fun night out

I'm sure my other children can add a lot to this maybe like a sane mommy lol
This will be a fun thread, I'm sure

Sleeping through the night without 4 or 5 trips to the bathroom.

Being comfortable sitting or standing for long periods of time without my ankles and feet looking like tree stumps.

Being able to see my swollen feet and ankles!

Shaving my legs and other things without having to call for a spotter. (Poor girls - they'd get rug burn for sure if they weren't being delivered by c-section!)

A BEER!

BUT THE THINGS I DON'T MISS ARE...

That monthly visitor.

Having even more reasons to have an emotional breakdown for my husband.

That wonderful excuse "I can't do that while I'm pregnant dear." (ONLY USED FOR NOT CLEANING CAT BOX)

And wondering if I will ever again have the joy of feeling a little life move around inside my body. (Please note: I never wondered about having a disco in my uterus!)

SEX, whats that??

My part time job as a teacher

bending over for required jobs such as shaving and picking up all the toys my DS left on the floor (okay maybe I dont miss that too much)

Apple martinis and wine with dinner

Fitting comfortably in a booth

my regular underwear, and not motherhoods version of thongs

and finally all my cute strappy shoes that no longer fit the sausages I have for feet.

But I wouldnt change it for anything:)

WOW........I have to say I am so glad I'm not the only one feeling like this.

I miss:

*Size 8 clothes and the new clothes I could have bought all this summer
*Walking up stairs (or running) without losing my breath
*Weeding my flower & vegetable gardens.
*Painting
*Putting my underwear on without any help
*Stiletto sandals
*Light summer dresses that actually make you feel cool
*Getting out of a chair without preparation
*Getting out of bed with rolling
*Picking up the cat easily

What can I say we all know the list goes on.

I wish all of you the best and good luck.

THIS IS SOOO FUNNY! Wow, we're all in the same boat huh? I wanted to add some things I will miss about being pregnant:

Seeing my babes on Ultrasound
Feeling and seeing them move around in my belly Definently...Being treated like a Queen!!
Having emotional breakdowns without being looked at like I'm nuts
Being the center of attention... I guess the babies can have the spotlight when they get here! HAHA!
Everybody rubbing my belly all the time (I never got random massages from people before, Feels good)
Common courtesy from people in public (suddenly strangers are nice when you're pregnant {not all of them!})

THANKS FOR THE COMEDY GALS!! Keep up the good work Mommies!! :p

I agree with most of you on the things I miss except for one. I have not given up my sex life yet. If anything it is better than ever. I know as I get closer that will change but I am enjoying it right now.

I also have to say I definitely do not feel sexy since I was a size 4 before I got pregnant and now I can't find shirts to fit. My husband still looks at me that way though. For some strange reason he thinks pregnant is sexy. I want to puke when he says anything.

* Going on road trips to visit friends.
*My family ( who live 2 hours away). :(

Well we are, damn it!
I love this thread. I must have missed it. It's so reasurring that everyone hear goes through the same thing.
I miss.....
being able to run and jump around with my son
SEX
beer/wine (I make my own at home)
pre-pregnancy clothes
excersize
long trips (had to cancel holidays)
sleeping through the night
my lung capacity
but like everyone else.........
I will miss
feeling those babies move inside of me!

My husband still doesn't know how we go through all of it and survive. I feel empowered sometimes knowing that we truly have the most important job in the world!

As a mother of almost 1 year olds I miss:
Sleeping
My size 6 jeans
Marathon shopping
My sex life
Painting my own toenails
Jogging
Not being able to function without drinking coffee
Being able to stay awake after one glass of wine or beer
Endless energy
My non-pregnant wardrobe
Staying out late
Soaking in the tub instead of hardly having time to get wet in the shower
A fun night out
A clean house
Travelling

But I also feel like I have won the lottery for life when my little boys smile at me :)

Good luck to all of you
