Well, here we go!

I was due to go to the Hospital on the 23rd to be induced, they were too busy so we went on the 24th after we went for a long walk... Once we got there, they hooked me up to a monitor and found out that I was having pretty severe contractions, but I could not feel them. That was at 3:00.

That did not last too terribly long... At around 11:00 p.m. I got an Epideral and slept until 4:00 a.m when I needed an upgrade on the dosage because I was feeling the pain very well.

At 9:00 a.m the next day, the doctors came in and told me that they would like to break my bag of waters so that my cervix would dialte further as I was only at 4 cm's. Now they told me that at 9:00 and at 9:45, right when they walked in the room to rupture the membrane, after a BAD contraction, my water broke all by it's self.

They said it would be 3 to 6 hours to dialte to 9 cm's or so... Well, in 30 minutes I was completely efaced and felt the urge to push with each contraction and the Epidural.

The doctors told me to push if I felt like it and I did... They rushed me to OR because they saw Madison's head and did not expect to see it so fast.

1/2 an hour later I was done!

I was only in ACTIVE labor for 2 1/2 hours!!! I feel so blessed!

Madison Amber was born at 11:15 a.m. and weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces, Kylee Michelle was a vaginal breech extraction and was born at 11:17 weighing 5 pounds and 1/2 an ounce.

Both babies are healthy and so is mommy.

The whole hospital called me Wonder Woman while I was there.

I will post pictures ASAP!

Thank you all for your support! Talk to you soon!

Kimberly,

Congratulations! You are truly so lucky to have experienced a vaginal birth for both babies. I always thought you had a 50/50 chance of a vag birth vs a c-section based upon all the twin pg books, but after my guys arrived I found out that the true stat is actually less than 5%. The reason being is that they factor in one vag and one c-section birth into the vag stat.

Congrats on having such healthy babies! Hope to see you on the first years thread.

Isn't it nice when nature kicks in & does it all better than the docs can? What a wonderful birth story, Kimberly.

Welcome to the world Madison & Kylee!
