Hi Everyone,

Just checking to see how everyone is doing.

I am almost 32 weeks, and feeling majorly fatigued !!! Wiped out!!!! I have indigestion every night now, and sometimes during the day. Groin hurts, too. I'm amazed that I don't have any swelling in my ankles or stretch marks (yet)...gained 39lbs. so far.
But I feel fortunate that I am not on bedrest...everything is looking good with the pregnany, thank goodness, and babies are doing well !!!

Hope everyone is doing well !!!!

Hey Dina,
I had my 32 week appt today and it went great. Baby A (lower) is about 4 pds 2 oz and Baby B is a little over 5 pds. The dr said that was a great size for them so we're happy.

We also had a NST test which went great as well! I love going to appts! lol

I'm feeling very tired too. I have gained just a little under 70 pds but that's ok b/c I'm just happy that the babies are healthy and big! lol

Unfortunatley I have stretch marks which itch like heck at night. :(
Oh well *sigh* :)

Well I hope everyone else is doing well!

Hello,

I have not written anything in a while, but I have been reading every day. I too am feeling great and just passed my 32 week mark on Tues. I went for an U/S on Tues. and they said the babies are about 4 1/2 lbs. each right now. I was shocked. I have only gained 19 lbs. so far (not that I am complaining) and everyone keeps telling me that I look to small to be carrying twins. I am not really measuring any bigger than my 1st pregnancy either. Both of the boys are breech so we scheduled a c-section for 9/2. My 1st was vaginal. So this will be different. I saw the doctor last Fri. and he scheduled the C for 9/2 because that will be 38 weeks and he said that he wants to make sure they are a good size. Now I am thinking they will be huge!

Does anyone know how much the babies gain at the end. With 6 weeks left couldn't they get really big??

Thanks for your help!!

We are at 31 weeks today. My wife switched from working full-time to part-time this week since she has been feeling really tired (especially since she has to go the doctor twice a week). Her biggest complaints are incredibly aching feet and ribs. Other than that she is doing great although this is definitely the time when the pregnancy seems to be getting old :)

At the last appointment the kids were around 4 pounds and 3 pounds (but that was over 2 weeks ago). They both score 10's pretty consistently on their BPP's so that is good. They are both breech but the doctor's assure us that there is still time for them to turn (although I'm not so sure... there can't be much room in there!).

We made it to the 31 week point on Monday, and we're still hanging in there. I think I am ever so grateful for air conditioning!!!!! Last week (30 w, 2 d) at my peri appointment, Baby A was 3 lbs 3 oz. and Baby B was 3 lbs 6 oz. If baby A could be any lower, it might fall out! Tuesday at my OB appointment, Baby B was vertex and ready to go, Baby A is breach, but their heads are together. I don't really want to think about where Baby A's body goes -- but that would probably explain why my pubic bone and back hurt so badly ;)

Last week at my BPP, I was apparantly contracting like crazy (I only felt a few). They were all the Braxton Hicks kind, but since they were coming so frequently, they did that test where they can determine if there is an increased likelyhood (50% chance) that you will deliver in the next 2 weeks. The nurse called later that day to say the results were positive, and that I needed to start taking Terbutaline every 6 hours to stop all of these contractions. Can I just tell you, I do not like that medicine! It makes my hands shake so bad I have a hard time doing much. I called the nurse to ask if this is normal and she said it is -- the medicine makes all the smooth muscles (heart, uterus, etc.) relax, and so it causes your heart rate to speed up. She told me to take my pulse, and I was shocked to find out that it was 148! But you know, if I know why my hands are shaking, it can be okay. At my BPP yesterday, no contractions, so that is a very good thing. We are working towards the 50% that we will not deliver in the next two weeks.

Sorry this is so long. Thank you for starting this thread. I hope all the other moms and dads to be are doing well! Does anyone have any suggestions on staying cooler at night? Have a great day everyone!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Sounds like all your babes a good weights....I go for an ultra-
sound next Friday. Can't wait to see the babies, it's been close to four weeks since my last one, they were only about an ounce apart which I was happy to hear...I just can't wait to see how much they weigh now.

Laura,

That medicine sounds weird...but anything to keep those babes in there. I wish you the best, please keep us posted on how you are doing.
My baby A is breech also, and he loves to dance on my bladder...ouch !!! But any movement is welcome, even when its' uncomfortable.

JacobsMom+2,

I THINK I read that now is the time the babies put their fat on, and Mom"s are supposed to be gaining 2 lbs. a week.....(kinda hard to do when you don't have much room in you stomach).
But don't hold me to that info, my brain is like mush...my doc calls it placenta brain...Ha! Ha!

Let's stay in touch, since we are getting close to the finish line.

Good luck to all.

Dina

Well Cindy just went on bedrest yesterday :( ... at 31 weeks. Her cervix was at 2.5 cm. We always knew that bedrest was a possibility but when it comes it is still a surprise. I think she'll do ok although she hates to lie around. Hopefully it gets easier but after one day she doesn't like it very much. We're definitely hoping to make it until at least 34 weeks... keeping our fingers crossed for 37 weeks.

Today I am 33 weeks. At my weekly check-up this past WEdnesday we went ahead and scheduled a date for the c-section baby A is still breech (there is a chance he may move, we'll see). We scheduled the c-section for August 22nd, which puts me at 37 weeks. Everything is looking good so far, although I have to admit I am wiped out. I have little/no energy and my swelling has gotten worse (but blood pressure, etc. checks out just fine). I am now on bed rest and it'w been difficult, but as I said I have little or no energy to do anything else but lie in bed.

At our last ultrasound (last Friday) Baby A was measuring 33 weeks and weighing in at 4 lbs. 7 oz., Baby B was measuring 35 weeks and weighing in at 5 lbs. 11 oz. Baby B has a big head so we think that is throwing his weight off. Everything looks great. We got to see them practicing breathing (aminotic fluid), blink their eyes, we also got to see that each of them has a layer of fat :) It's pretty amazing how much they have grown in 4 weeks.

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well (as to be expected for being pregnant with twins). Thanks for getting this thread going :)

Well I think I am one of the last due dates in Sep (29th). I too have been scheduled for a c-section for Sep 9th at 8 AM, both babies are breech. It is very exciting and definately the light at the end of the tunnel.

At my 28 w ultrasound they were each 3.1 lbs and everything looked good. Like most I am having terrrible heartburn and sleepless nights. Tylenol Pm does seem to help, so i take it when I feel I am falling behind on sleep. Luckily blood preassure and blood sugar are good and I have not had any swelling yet so I consider myself lucky. But it does seem as if I am always worn out.

Everyone take care and have a great weekend

It's great to hear how good everyones doing. I started having contractions (a few painful ones per hour) last Saturday and had to go into the hospital. I was put on the monitors...thank God I wasn't in pre-term labor. I was just put on bedrest until I saw my doctor next. I saw him Tuesday and he allowed me to go back to work. He states that if the twins (ones breech and the other is cephalic) don't turn around by 33 wks that they probably won't turn around and I will require a C-section. I've gained around 4o pounds so far...and am hoping that my daugters are at least 5 pounds each at birth. I bought 8 preemie outfits just in case. And so far I have only chosen preemie outfits to take to the hospital...I may be a lil to pessimistic...but we'll see.

I'm 34 weeks and TIRED!!! I do have some good days and on those days I usually do too much so that the next day I'm wiped out:eek: I'm usually so active so this whole pregnant thing has thrown me for a loop...I know it's countdown time. That being said I want these babes to stay in for a while longer. My OB has told me that he will not induce until week 39 if I don't go before. I have been getting weekly NST which have been going great.

My new problem (and I have not had many so I feel very blessed) is that I have developed a terrible rash on the lower part of my belly. I have not any stretch marks on my belly until last Tuesday and as soon as the stretch marks decided to make an apperance...the rash followed...HOLY *&^%$# it itches :( . I have been using a variety of over the counter stuff, all offering temp. relief. I took benadryl last night and I'm planning again tonight so I can get some sleep, otherwise it keeps me up. So this combined with 8 bathroom trips a night does nothing for a good nights sleep. And sleep is what I need to do these days knowing that will soon come to an end!

Baby A is head down, baby B is transverse with a big pointy head under my breast. My OB still states it's too early to assume a C-Section. I however have myself psyched up for a C-Section just in case.

I hit 33 weeks tomorrow and can't believe how fast my due date is approaching. I've really had a trouble free pregnancy so far, and there is still so much to do. I'm a teacher so I'm off for the summer - which has been really nice, but I know my time won't be as leisurely very soon. Our last u/s put us at 3lbs15oz and 4obs7oz and it was the first time there weights were different. They've gone slightly transverse but the dr. says it's still very possible for the bottom one to engage with his head down and both heads are on the same side so I'm hoping for two vaginal deliveries... but I remember hearing something about if Baby B is bigger than the first that can indicate the need for a c-section - and of course that's how they are right now. Has anyone else heard that?

DaddyX2
07-29-2003, 01:15 PM
Yes, I've heard that the first baby needs to be the bigger of the two or else it'll be a c-section. Maybe somebody else can confirm this but we were definitely told that by the doctor.

Hi Everyone,

I had a level II and a BPP on Wednesday, at 32 1/2 weeks. Our baby boy is 4.1 and our baby girl is 3.11. They both did well on the BPP. So, everything is looking good, thank goodness !!!
It's unbelievable how powerful their kicks are getting.... they shake my whole body sometimes.

I am getting so excited, and a little nervous.....I am being such a sissy about getting a spinal for the c-section. But I am sure by then I'll be ready ...all of you know how uncomfortable I am feeling now, and of course I can't wait to see our to precious little ones !!!

I feel lucky to have made it this far without any major problems,
I hope all of you are doing well !!

I had an u/s today (35 weeks) and was told (minus or plus a 1/2 lb) the babes are weighing in a 6lbs 4oz each. That's a lot of baby!!!

I was diagnosed with PUPPPS last week. PUPPPS SUCK!!! I have had a great pregnancy until now. I'm truly feel miserable with all of the itchy hive things all over my body (except my face..thank gd). I hope no one else has to experience this. I'm not sleeping and taking benadryl every 6 hours :(

The most important thing is the babes are healthy. I had my cervix checked and my OB said that I'm thick and he believes will go the full 39 weeks. Not such a big deal if I was not one step away from the looney bin with all the scrathing that I'm doing.

I hope every one else is doing great. So soon we will start to read Sept. birth stories

I had an ultrasound today as well (probably my 6th one) The babys are 34wks now and they weigh 4pounds 9ozs and 5pounds 2ozs. the only problem was she couldn't measure baby A's abdomen well (it seemed smaller cause baby be was pressed up against her so tight that it squished her tummy!) This kinda disturbed me because I started to wonder if maybe there was something I could do to make mommy's womb more comfortable for them...needless to say I don't think I should go to 49wks if the infants are that cramped inside me...and they are getting bigger! Sounds crazy but I can tell them apart by the ultrasound pictures of thier faces....one looks exactly like her big brother did on his ultrasound...big head...thicker lips...and the other one looks a lil like me...thinner lips with a pointy lil nose. I'm looking forward to seeing my baby's now 2-3 more weeks!!!

Hi Everyone,

Isn't it amazing that everyday you can feel a little worse than you did the day before. I wake up and think I am feeling really crappy, it can't get much worse, but then the next day.....is definately worse.
But , of course I am greatful that the babies are doing well, and hopefully staying put.
But I know I can complain to you guys, cause you know how I feel.
Is everyone having trouble turning from side to side at night? My hips are killing me.
I feel like I am going to split in two, like a wish bone. I'm sick of hearing myself moan and groan in pain, so I know my husband is probably sick of it ,too.

Just wondering who's going to try to breast feed?

Hope all of you are hanging in there!!!
Can't wait to hear some great birth stories !!!

Like I tell everyone, I am doing great according to the doctors but if you want to know how I feel I can complaint for a good while about the aches and pains. In the last couple of weeks the heartburn has really started to bother me all day and night, and last week the back pain started. But I thank god that everything is going well.

I had my 32w 3d ultrasound today and the babies measured 5lbs 3oz and 4lbs 15oz, and my cervix is long and closed. Baby B has flipped to head down but baby A is breech so I guess I will keep my Sep 9th c-section appointment. To tell you the truth I am more comfortable with a c-section anyway. I can hardly believe I am only a month away from meeting the babies.

Take care everyone

Hey guys,
I had my 34 week appt yesterday and all's going well still. The nurse technician said that there was still some amniotic fluid in there which is good. Also my placenta is starting to look "ripe", which I guess meant it's getting time soon.

Our NST test went well. My feet have swelled up to little bricks :( I started wearing flip flops yesterday although I only have this teal pair from Old Navy so I think I might see if I can at least find a black pair to semi match my clothes! lol

We went to Kohl's on the way home from our dr appt and FYI if anyone needs some shirts to last them the last few weeks here their sleeveless maternity polo's and just sleeveless maternity shirts are 50% off. I got 3 shirts for $26! Good deal and their stretchy! lol

Glad to hear everyone else is doing well. Keep up the good work ladies.

Hello all!! It's been a while since I've been on the boards......just too tired to sit at the computer much, plus the aches and pains, but then you all know how it is!! LOL

I am now 34 wks. 1 day and had my 6th ultrasound today. Both babies looked good. Baby A weighs approx. 5 lbs. 1 oz. and Baby B approx. 4 lbs. 10 ozs. Both babies were in heads down position at the last ultrasound, but seem Baby B didn't like his "view" anymore and has switched to breech. Hoping that he'll turn back around before I deliver b/c I'm scared to death to have to have a c-section (or an epidural for that matter!!). We will see, though.

I did have a scare the other night and ended up spending the night in the hospital. The whole pregnancy has been relatively easy up to this point, so guess I should have expected something. LOL Anyway, I had some really bad pains in my side.......like getting a "stitch", that lasted for about 2 hours, so went to emergency to get checked out. Come to find out I was dehyrdated and have a UTI, which was causing me to have contractions about every 2 minutes. Funny cause I didn't even realize that they WERE contractions...........well, just figured they were Braxton-Hicks so didn't think much of them. Anyway, I had to spend the night in the hospital "just to be safe" . Oh, and I'm dialated already to 1 1/2 cms. Dr. basically put me on semi-bedrest. I can get up to use the restroom, but nothing else. That is SO HARD!!! Especially since I have a little one that isn't even 2 yet! Anyway, I go back to Dr. for checkup on Friday and have a bad feeling that if I'm dialated any more that he's going to admit me to the hospital again. I'm NOT ready!!! Well, I have everything ready here at home for the babies, but I, myself am not ready. Nothing new to you all, though, huh? LOL

Anyway, I've rambled enough, so will quit for now. Keep your fingers crossed that I can hold these boys in for at least another two weeks!! LOL

Crystal -- we have the same due date! I'm glad you're still hanging in there.

We had our BPP/NST and 34 week level 2 ultrasound today. Baby A is still breech -- feet down, and Baby B is every which way still, meaning transverse diaganolly. Baby A is so far down that they couldn't quite get a full measurement on the legs to estimate the size. But, with the measurement the doctor was able to get, it looks like Baby A is 4 lbs 10 oz. and Baby B is 5 lbs 6 oz. I had an oh my goodness moment when I realized that is 10 pounds of baby, no wonder I fell uncomfortable.

We also had our OB appointment today, and surprise, surprise, he said I am dialated to a 5! With my other deliveries, I always have dialated early, but I was thinking maybe a 1 or 2, not a 5. He said that if my water breaks, immediately (big emphasis) go to the hospital. We will have to do a c-section unless Baby A decides to turn, but since that is how it seems to be most comfortable for the last month or so, I don't know. I think I am now very nervous. With my others my water has never broken on spontaneously, so hopefully that will stay the same. Hopefully we can make it until next week, I think that would be good, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

My wife Cindy is 34 weeks tomorrow... Both kids are breech so we now have a C-Section scheduled for Sept. 9. She has been on bedrest for the last 2 1/2 weeks. It's not too strict however (she can eat meals at the table and take a shower etc.). At the last growth check the boy was 4 lb. 11 oz and the girl was 4 lbs. That was almost 2 weeks ago though they are definitely bigger now. Cindy is obviously uncomfortable and not sleeping too well but we are very thankful to have made it this far. Hopefully she can hang in there for another few weeks. This is really an exciiting time. We can't wait to meet and greet the two little ones soon.

I hope everyone else is doing ok also.

I was wondering if anyone else was having contractions during their NST. The perinatologist said they were nothing to worry about, but she also said that most twins come around 35 to 36 weeks. I was pretty sure I would make it to 37 when I have a scheduled c-section but I am starting to think I may not. what have other Sept moms heard from their docs?

Yep, Cindy gets contractions all the time during BPPs. She was also told that it's no big deal since they are sporatic and not intense at all. She can barely feel them if she feels them at all. If your doctor said there is nothing to worry about then I wouldn't worry about it :)

My understanding is that everyone gets contractions and many women never feel them. I'm getting lots of BH and feel most of them! However, they just started getting uncomfortable. I'm 37 weeks today and have a scheduled C/S for Aug. 29th.

My OB checked me today and I'm still think and no dialation. I don't think these babes have any interest in joining the "real" world!!

Hi my name is Kerri. I am a new member and I just came across this web site. I am very excited to see that others are going through the same things that I am. I will be 33 weeks on Monday with b/g twins. I decided to write in because I was also just put on that dreadful - brethin(trebutuline). I went into the hospital two weeks ago with minor uterus irritablitly and was told I was 1 ct. dilated. After fluids I was sent home and then 1 week later I went for a weekly checkup to find out that I was 3 ct. dilated and having contractions-- Little did I know. I was put into the hospital on strict bedrest. I was given magnesium- which truley is **** on earth- and the steriods for the babies lungs. I dilated to 4 ct. and then they were able to stop everything. In a way I was a little disappointed- I want to meet them- even though it is too early. I spent 5 days in the hospital and went home on that medicine. It is very normal to feel very jittery and gross on that medicine. My suggestion is to talk to your doctor. My doctor took me down to 2.5 versus 5.0 and it is soooo much better. He also said that you should not be on this medicine past 34 weeks so I am almost done. yeah. At my 31 week ultersound my babies were 4lbs 11oz and 4lbs 8 oz. I couldn't believe it. They said if I went full term I am looking at two 8 lb babies. Of course that is why they think my uterus is giving up. My question is- would the babies be ok now if they were born. I am still have irritabilty- cramping and sometimes I get scared. I am anxious but I want them to be healthy. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi guys,
Welcome Karrie. :)

My 35 week appt was on Thursday and so far so good. My BP was up a little bit more then usual but the nurse said that it's still in the normal range.

We did an NST and everything went well. I had one slight contraction.

We had our measurments done again and one baby weighted approx 5 lbs 11 oz and the other weighed 7 pds. Again those are just estimates but both DH and I are very pleased with those weights for this point! :D

Well I hope everyone else is doing well. Soon enough here ladies

I also just had an u/s done at 35 weeks and the boys are looking great coming in at 5lbs 7oz and 5lbs 10 oz each. My mom made the stunning realization that that is 11lbs of baby... too crazy. But baby a has decided to have a seat and is presenting himself frank breech - I'm ttrying to persuade his transverse brother to head butt him down in the right direction - but I guess time will tell. I'm not really sure which I want a c-section or the hope of two vaginal deliveries (if all goes well). It's kinda hard not having any control over something like that. I'm guessing when I go in next week the'll start checking for dialation... Oh, does anyone know if the baby stays in the breech position - when/how do they determine when the birth happens (scheduled c-section or do they still wait for labor)? I guess I should ask next week.

Hello everyone, To the new poster 34wks is still kinda early if you can hold in there until 37wks there will be a much better prognosis for your babies. Don't get me wrong plenty of 34wkers do fine...it's just better to wait. I saw the doctor today for my 36wk visit. One of the infants has moved down into my pelvis but I am unsure which one. I have a breech twin presenting...but my doctor said that he would deliver her breech if I went into labor. I also asked would he do a c-section by 38 wks if I am not delivered and he said NO!!! He said he will continue the pregnancy and he won't do a scheduled C section without an indication. I am so irritated with him...I thought that twins should not go to term because of placental insuffiency and similar complications. I also was under the impression that you do a c section if the presenting baby is breech....I don't know about my doctor...I'm starting to think he's some kind of rebel doing things his own way!!! anyway that's just me venting lata

New poster here as well.

My wife is 36 weeks tomorrow. She's on bedrest and doing the best she can despite all of the aches and pains. Our last ultrasound was probably three weeks ago, and their weights were 4-9 and 4-12. They're probably over 6 lbs each by now. The boy is coming first and has been head-down for quite a few weeks. The girl was vertex at one time, but is now transverse. They say that once the boy moves out of the way, the girl will fall into place.

We were also told at last week's visit that after 37 weeks, our OB will start thinking about inducing. My wife is certainly ready.

WOW.......everyone seems to be doing so well.

I also have had a great pregnancy. I have so much swelling though and up until now have dealt with it really well. Now it has gone into my hands and it hurts. My legs, ankles and feet are so big. I had to go to a wedding last weekend and had to wear Birkenstocks for shoes. I was so embarrassed.

Sleep is something of the past..........anybody else having trouble?

We are at 34 1/2 weeks... ours are both breech and it looks unlikely that they are going to turn. Our doctor won't let twins go past 38 weeks so we have a C-Section scheduled for 37 weeks 5 days which is September 9.

We're definitely happy to have made it this far. Wow, is this an exciting time !!

well, we are 35 weeks 3 days tomorrow, and the doctor called this afternoon. We are scheduled for a c-section tomorrow at noon. The perinatologist did an amnio yesterday, and the lungs are mature. Baby A still decided to not turn, so we get to do the c-section. With my last pregnancy, I had HELLP syndrome, so they have been watching things pretty closely. Yesterday there was 1+ protein, and with having been dialated to a 6 for a week, I think the decision between the peri and my ob is to have this be done before it becomes an emergency or very complicated. I think I am nervously excited, I can't believe this day is finally here. I'll be back when I can to let everyone know how things went.

Wow -- we're almost done :)

Wow, it is getting exciting now.

It looks as if September moms will start having their babies today. Is Laura the first?

Daddyx2 we are scheduled for a c-section on the same day. Mine are also presenting poorly for a vaginal delivery. My doctor likes to take twins out at 37 weeks so he went ahead and scheduled it for Sep 9 at 37 w 1 d. I am showing no signs of labor except for some contractions here and there so I guess I will make it. I am definately looking forward to sleeping without pain even if it means less sleep.

Good luck everyone.

Hi to all the Sept. Parents out there. I have been posting on the Oct. Babies thread but found out yesterday that my 2 little angels will be born no later then Sept. 3rd. That is if they see fit to wait until I am 36 weeks. The Doctors say that I will need to deliver by then as conditions inside are getting unfavorable. The little Boy only gained 4 oz. in 2 weeks so they feel if we can make it to Sept. 3rd (for lung development) then they will be better on the outside. I really didn't argue with them as I am really ready to be done. Like dosmas said sleep without pain even if it means less sleep.

At the last check the weights were 6 lbs. 7 oz. for the boy and 5 lbs. 2 oz. for the girl. With those sizes the doctors think we might not make it until Sept. 9. Cindy is hoping to get to Sept. 1 since the Sept birthstone is a Sapphire while August is a Peridot :) .... seriously though we really don't care when they come as long as they are healthy!

Glad to hear that everbody else is hanging in there!

Hey Sept moms,
I have a question. I am 34 weeks and 6 dys tomorrow. I had a doctor's appt. yesterday and asked the doctor if he would induce my labor early- like everyone is writing in and he said no. He doubts that I will go to Set. 28 because I am already 4 ct. dilated and they already had to stop my labor once. The babies were 4 11 and 4 8 on July 29 so I am assuming they are 6lbs by now. Why is my doctor the only one that doesn't believe in inducing them?

thanks,
Kerri

First and foremost welcome aboard Bridgett. Glad to hear everything is progressing well for you! :)

Kerri, I'm not sure why you're dr would not want to induce you. I think that if I could I would rather carry mine as far along as possible. My aunt carried her twins to 40 weeks. Hang in there though. It will all be worth it :)

Now about me! I went to L&D on Wednesday night b/c I was having some cramping with mild contractions. Since the hospital we are using is almost 2 hrs away we decided just to go. When I got there they monitored me for a few hours and decided nothing was really going on.

We stayed down there though, b/c our dr's appt was the next day. We have decided to schedule a c-section for next friday (aug 29th). I will be 37 wks 1 day.

I'm excited but very nervous.

Glad to hear everyone else is doing well and it sure does look like the sept babies are going to be coming soon!!!!

Thank you Mia. I am gald to be a Sept Mom. I can' wait for this to be over with. Once I can sleep again , no matter how little, I will be very happy. That is as long as these little ones are OK. Hopefully they will come home with me. Good luck on the 29th, That is the day after my Birthday. Can't wait to hear your birth story.

I went to the Doctors on the 21st and he made me so mad. Back when I was 32 weeks and they were talking about the possible need to deliver early I had asked him about steriod shots and he told me that if they knew far enough ahead of time that I would get the shots. Well now we know I am scheduled for Sept3rd at 2:00, That leaves me at 36 weeks, So I asked him about the shots and he said it is to late they give them between 28 and 32 weeks but that my Babies would have to be evaluated by the nicu and maybe spend some time there. I just don't understand if they know before heand then why don't they make it easier on the Babies by giving me the shots? And if not now then when I was 32 weeks and they knew it would be an early delivery why didn't they give me them then? Well either way I know that I will be meeting my Babies by Sept. 3rd. I guess the only thing now is to pray for them to be just fine. They were praticing breathing on the U/S. And if I can get over the fact that I after all these vaginal delivers I am now going to have a c-section. I am scared to death.
I really couldn't believe how fast this is all happening now. By the time I got home the other day the Hospital called and set me up for my pre op and then did the pre-addmission. Then the Doctors office called and gave me my instructions. The c-section is scheduled for the 3rd at 2:00 and they said I can't eat or drink after midnight, I'm hoping that ends up being the hardest part. I was awake for all of my other children so I would not think about going to sleep for these 2 but I shake already when I think about it.

Kerri, I know that with me they are scheduling it because of the slowed growth of Baby B (Carlos). He only gained 4 oz. in 2 weeks. So the Peri said they will do better to be on the outside.

Hope everyone else is doing good and hanging in there.

Hi September moms,
I haven't seen much on here from anyone latley so I decided to write in. Well I am now 36wks and 1dy and very miserable. I am totally uncomfortable and the babies now just want to stay in. I know that is good but I am swollen, sick to my stomach, having horrible cramps and bachache. I have been back and forth to the hospital for the last few weeks and I am still 4 ct. and 75% effaced and at -3(though I am not sure what -3 means). I am just wandering if everybody feels this lousy towards the end of their pregnancy. I did find out that my baby girl is 6lb 4oz and my baby boy is 5lb 12oz. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello all!! Just wanted to jump on here real quick and say congrats to all the mommies (and daddies) who have made it this far!! The end is in sight!! LOL

I am as of today 37 wks. 4 days and am feeling every little bit of it! Had quite a scare a few weeks ago.........went to hospital for a pain in my side and found out I was dehydrated and had UTI which was causing contracions about 2 mins. apart. Needless to say, they kept me overnight. Also, I was 1 1/2 cm. dialated. At last checkup (yesterday) I am now a "good" 4 cms. and dr. is waiting on me to hit 5 before he puts me in the hospital. I have my last ultrasound scheduled for the 9th and dr. wants to see me right after to find out the position of the babies (at last one Baby A was still head down, but Baby B had flipped and was in breech position). I'm assuming that once he finds out the positions and dialation then we will proceed from there, but fully expect that if I'm closer to being at 5, then he will go ahead and induce me. Won't know for sure, though until next week.

Anyway, good luck to everyone and looking forward to reading about all the babies soon to be born!!

I just had my last ultrasound at 36w 3d. Baby A remains breech and baby b is transverse, so I am still on schedule for a c-section on the 9th. I am still long and closed so I am guessing I will make it. The babies measured at 7lbs 3oz and 7lbs, I am really curious to see if they are really that big. They certainly feel it. I am very ready and am counting down the days with great anticipation. Once again congratulations to the new parents of twins and good luck to all who remain.

Just wanted to give everyone an update - we had our boys on August 6th. I was 34w and 5 days along - I developed severe preeclampsia (sp?). William weighed in at 5 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19 1/2" long, Jacob weighed in at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and was 19 " long. WE were very fortunate that the boys only had to spend 2 days in the NICU and were discharged with me :)

Will & Jake have been 'tag teaming' us - we'll get one down and the other will wake up. Frtunately we do have them on the same feeding schedule (right now), but we know that could change.....whenever they decide - LOL. I never knew beings so small would require so much work - LOL. Exhaustion has become a new state of being for us. We are all adjusting and taking it one day (feeding) at a time. The hardest part is the 3 am feeding.....the boys just want to stay up and it takes forever to get them to go back to sleep.

Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone an update and let you know that our precious boys are here :)

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Well Congratulations to everyone! I gave birth to my two beautiful babies on September 2. I was 36wk and 3dys. My baby boy was 6lbs 1oz and my baby girl was 5lbs. and 10 oz and no NICU at all. I was very very lucky. My water broke and within 2 hours they did a c- section and my angels were born. It has been a little tough but we are doing well. I am trying to keep them on a very close feeding schedule and so far so good. The only big downfall is that I am not nearly producing enough breast milk (not even enough for one) so I am pumping and mixing with the formula. Oh well. Well good luck to everyone else and thank you all for giving me a place to go and read up on everything.

We went in on Sept. 9th (37 weeks 1 d gestation) for a scheduled c-section and Josephine was born at 10:24 and Rodrigo was born at 10:26. Josie weighed 6lbs 13 oz and measured 18.5 inches, Rodrigo weighed 7lbs and measured 20 inches. They were both fine and stayed in our room the whole time. We were all discharged together on the 12th. Other than a little jaundice the babies are doing great and have taken to breastfeeding easily.
