I wanted to start another fun thread...
I have not had any wierd cravings, but there are some things I can not live without!
1: Mac and Cheese, I think I eat it at least once a week... Not a small portion either, I'm talkin' the whole box in one bowl!
2: Dairy Queen Blizzards and Dilly Bars, any flavor excluding thoise with peanuts, for some reason I don't like peanuts anymore not that I'm preggo. DH and I know all the kids who work at DQ by name, they even give us discounts and free fries sometimes!!!! How sad is that?
3: Chinese food: Chicken Egg Foo Young! I can eat it anytime, anywhere, from any chinese place. Infact, I can not order anything else whenI go to a Chinese place... I just love it that much.
Here are some things I used to love, but can't quite stomache anymore.
1: Mexican Food. I can't eat it. I have tried, it just makes me sick! Doesn't matter what it is either, all of it makes me sick now.
2: Sandwhich meat, I never knew how processed it tasted until now. It makes me gag. I can't eat it.
3: Salad Dressing: Any kind, it all makes me sick! I prefer raw veggies with nothing on them now.
Isn't it funny how things change? I used to be a huge chocolate freak and now I am more into Twizzlers. The red ones! YUMMMM!
Okay, your turn!!!

Okay here are mine..
Cravings..
1) Pepper, not sure why but everything I eat must be coated
with pepper..never really ate it much before.
2) Indian food..this is nothing new..but would have thought that the smells or spices might affect me, but I just CRAVE it..
3) Chocolate chip cookies..nothing fancy like Pepperidge Farms,
just plain old ordinary cookies.
4) Pasta, even mac and cheese will do. Come to think of it, loving eating lots of carbs.
I find that I have weekly cravings, last week was egg salad, now it grosses me out. My DH can't keep up..he keeps stocking up on my faves, then I say umm ugh can't do it.
Things I have to avoid..
1) My first 4 mos it was meat, red meat..the sight of it made me nauseous.
2) Anything sopping..like lettuce soaked in dressing..YUCK.
3) Roast chicken..the kind they sell at grocery stores, I can't do the slippery chicken meat...EWWWW.
Other than that I can pretty much eat anything and everything..and I do!! LOL

What I Love:
1. Tomatos with mayonaise salt and pepper
2. Dh's macaroni salad
3. lots of fruits and veggies, most importantly watermelon!!
What I have to avoid (the list isn't too long):
1. CHICKEN!!!! I can't look at it raw, cooked, the smell makes me gag. Its been since the beginning of my pregnancy and I tried to eat some last week to see if I could handle it and got sick within an hour.
2. This one makes me sad, ice cream. I just have no taste for it at all
Thats about all I can think of.

I too can not eat chicken, I can't stand the smell of it either, I completely forgot about that until you mentioned it. I bet I have not had chicken (except in Chicken Egg Foo Young) in about 7 months.
And I also get weekly cravings. I made Egg salad last week and only had one sandwhich. I made DH eat the rest. Good thing he likes Egg Salad!
This week I am onto Bacon. I love it! I am going to make a BLT for lunch in about an hour and a half and I can't wait!
Thanks for responding, I was just wondering how everyone was doing with the eating thing. It's just so strange how everything changes so drastically when pregnant.
Hey, how about your sense of smell??? I swear, I can smell about a mile away. It's annoying! I am constantly complaining about things I smell and DH as well as the girls I work with have no idea what I am talking about. Do you guys experience this?

Cravings:
1. I'm with the Mac & Cheese train...Must be Kraft (or velveeta). I yacked it a couple weeks ago, which turned me away, but I'm back on.
2. Peanuts (really into Pay Day candy bars)
3. Milkshakes & ice cream
4. Mashed potatoes (especially w/KFC gravy)
5. Cheese (cheddar, colby & swiss)
Dislikes:
1. Bacon if I smell it first. I can order BLT's from the restaurant since I don't smell it frying.
2. PIZZA: I lived on this with DS & DD, but cannot stand the tomato sauce.
3. Spaghetti Sauce (same reason as above)
4. a lot of other foods turn me off (most of them)....maybe this is why at 26 wks I've only gained 9 pounds, huh?

I crave Jack in the Box Chicken Club Salads, fruit of any kind, corn on the cob and most anything that's edible. I also like mustard now and I hate mustard. I haven't really changed much. I just love FOOD!!
When I was pregnant with my daughter I craved french fries. With the twins I had to have eggs, and I don't normally like them much! I craved chocolate with the twin pregnancy, too. Hated the smell of meat cooking---UGH!
My sense of smell became amazing, and it has stayed with me all these years...DH is always amazed at my ability to smell things, even if they were around only briefly.

Thanks for all the replies, it's fun to read about the things that other people crave and do not crave not that they are Pregnant.
I used to be a huge chocolate fan, but now I really like fruity stuff. It's strange.
Has anyone lese heard that eating Chocolate will not allow your babies to absorb calcium. So you are not supposed to eat Chocolate right before or right after eating something good for the babies calcium wise?
I thought this was strange, but I've heard it a few times now. I keep forgetting to ask my doctors about it.

Watch those peanuts. They're on the "avoid" list now while pregnant and breastfeeding.
I shouldn't have read this thread right before dinner. I'm now craving a BLT big time. :D
I seem to be doing the week thing. This week it's been KFC.
Last week it was pizza.
I'm still craving the "chips" from "fish n' chips". I has to be the ones that are deep-fried in the same oil as the fish. Oh, and smothered in ketchup. But, alas, I can't get this in my dinky little town. :(
When I was pg with the twins, I lived off of Shawarmas and Falafels. Hmmmmm. Now I want those too. Sigh.
I better stop thinking about what food I want to eat because it's going to drive me crazy. :D

I feel the same way about milk. I can't drink it at all, only in protien shakes and on cereal. I can't even drink it when done with the cereal. It's bizzarre!
I like Soy Milk now, I can seriously drink an enitire quart of Soy Milk in one sitting. It's like my body is feinding for it. I used to like it a little, but now I love it! There must be something in it that my body craves and needs right now, I know its really high in protien so that could be it.
KFC is awsome, I have only given into that craving once because when I went there I ate 4 huge chicken strips, one thigh, two things of potatoes and gravy, 2 biscuits and half of that chocolate pound cake they were advertising there for a bit. I had such bad heartburn that I will never go there again, I can't control myself there for some reason. I think the grease is delicious!
I agree, I love food now too!
Hmm, now I am hungry, I think we are doing German Brauts on the grill before we go watch the fireworks. That sounds okay to me, but not as good as KFC does now. Too bad I don't know how to fry Chicken I totally would do it if I weren't so scared to try it. I hate burning myself with grease and that seems scary to me.
