Hi there!
I was just thinking about the things that have been lifesavers
during my pregnancy..and thought it might help some of the newer multiple moms for those of us in our later weeks to give some tips on how to be more comfortable during their pregnancies. Of course spouses and this board excluded!
I'll go first..here are my top three faves..
1) Kiehl's Creme de Corps body lotion..lifesaver for itchy bellies.
2) Bravado maternity underwear..underbelly, wide band, so comfy!!!
3) My husbands old dress shirts..stripes and whites, great around the house or going out with a pair of capris. Looks cute and best of all..free!

Fun thread Melissa. Here are my top three things...
1. My laptop- the last 8 weeks of bedrest could not have been survived without it. Well, maybe that's a little dramatic, but I'm not so sure. ;)
2. My Old Navy yoga pants. They are not maternity but they are low rise so they can go under my belly and still fit and look cute.
3. My Dr. Barbara Luke book- I've referred to it so many times. Especially the little footprints and head circumference diagrams.

1. Ginger ale- I lived on it the whole pregnancy, especially while I was so sick in the beginning. And I loved the Minute Maid frozen lemonaid bars, yummmm.
2. My ever faithful dog! She kept me entertained and from being lonely while on bedrest. We both love animal crackers now...of course I can't convince her to sleep on her own bed anymore after so many days on mine.
3. My laptop and games on it. I lived on this board, my water even broke while I was on here one night!
I played games for hours at night when I couldn't sleep!
Fun question.:)

1). My Lazy Boy recliner. When I was on bedrest, I layed down in it instead of my bed. We all know how hard it is to get off a couch and/or a bed when your 47 months (or at least that's what it felt like) pregnant:D
2). My air conditioner, OMG, I would have died without it. Everyone who came to visit was wrapped up in blankets and I was still complaining about being hot. It just so happened to be the hottest Michigan summer EVER (well at least it felt like it).
3). Lots and lots and lots of Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion for that itchy twin belly :p
What a nice idea:D

1. The luxury of having a portable ultrasound available at work so that I could "look" at my babies as often as I wanted and see their little hearts racing away reassuring me everything was fine!
2. My husbands draw string sweats (the only thing comfortable at home) and scrubs for work. (the only time in my life that I loved ciel blue scrub sets:D )
3. Dansani water and Ginger ale and jello with cool whip!

1. A/C-I was pregnant during the summer last year and it was a hot hot summer!
2. My lazy boy recliner-the only place I could get some sleep for the last month or two.
3. LOL-disability pay-allowed me to take off of work from my 7 month until 11 weeks after the babies were born so I didn't stress out and overwork myself!

1) Ice cream on a stick -- those treats with hard chocolate on the outside & vanilla on the inside. Brand doesn't matter, but stick is essential (dh bought the Klondike bars, just wasn't the same). This treat never fails to get my boys jumping around -- which brings me to my fave part of being preggers: fetal movement.
2) Day clothes that feel like pajamas -- I have a big pair of cropped Land's End drawstring pants & about 5 of the $9 t-shirts from Motherhood & the Motherhood sleeping bra. This has been my uniform everyday for bedrest. Comfy enough for the frequent napping -- decent enough to go to the mailbox or answer the door.
3) The Preggo Puff pillow -- a hand-me-down from a good, good, good friend :) This is the one that has two really soft kidney shaped pillows connected by velcro on flaps in between. One side supports the belly & boobs, the other side supports the back.

#1- Dilly Bars (any flavor) from Dairy Queen and Strawberry Twizzlers. I have a sweet tooth and those two things are the only things that will get rid of it, temporary as it is.
#2- Heating Pad. I only used this during my second trimester, but I think I would have died without it! I slept on it all night to relieve my ribs that were expanding and hurt like heck. Now it's too hot out, but if I need too, I'll use it.
#3- Fans! Any kind, ceiling, free standing... Anything to get that stagnent air moving around. DH complains that it is freezing in our house and like 2girls2girls said, I am still complaining of it being hot as well.
#4- I know, I know, you only asked for three, but I have one more thing I could not live without! My Glider! For those days when you are too bloated to lay down, it a great way to relax and rock yourself into some comfort. It'll be wonderful when the babies arrive too.

PS- I could not live without this baord either. You gals have been lifesavers, very supportive and so informative.
Okay, I'm done for reals now!

2. A/C. At night our bedroom is colder than a meat locker.
3. MotherLove Belly Balm
4. The support and love from DH (oh, and all the feet massages, "could you please get me....," and belly rubs)

Hi Everyone,
A few things I could not live without are:
1. My belly belt...it really helps to take the stress off my back.
2. My body pillow, and the other four pillows in our bed to put all
around me,and in between my legs.
3. My telephone !!!!

1. FRESH FRUIT---COLD! Any kind...melons, cherries, berries, nectarines, oranges, doesn't matter
2. Moving around, all the time, all over babies!
3. DH...because he has just been the most wonderful person in the whole world, letting me wake him in the middle of the night to feel the movements in my belly, talking to the babies, making love to me and loving every minute of it, regardless of my size and how difficult it has become. Because he tells me every day how beautiful I am and shows me in so many ways. Because he helps me around the house even when he is exhausted. And mostly because he has kept his promise to make me happy.
